I'm afraid I'm quite new here myself, and am not familiar with these individuals - the Philemon and Nyarlathotep you speak of. You obviously seem to know of them, so would you care to inform a curious fellow what exactly he's in for?

I thought Philemon sent the ones that went to that tower - I thought maybe we were sent to help. If nothing else, to at least spread some light to the place. Some hope. I honestly wanted to bring the people trapped there here, if I could.

...we couldn't. Whether that was Nyarlathotep's fault, whether it was all a wild goose chase from the start, whether it was the fault of the tower's administrators, or whether it was some combination of those, I can't say. I don't even know if we did anything at all.

But I can't...I can't let myself think like that. I just can't. I have to think that some kind of message at least got through...

I missed meeting the guy while we were in the Tower, but if his goal is wanton destruction, I imagine he's got a hand in pitting the Government and the Anoli against each other.

And the books aren't that much of a waste of time. They're very quick reads.

I've looked him up awhile ago, when I got here. I kinda doubt anything Lovecraft has to say about him will answer your question, though.

My friends...ran into him too, when they went to that tower place.

His actions in the Tower were telling. That much was certain, with how he tried to inspire hopelessness and a sense of failure in those that left and returned here. The same can be said for what happened a couple months ago at the stadium.

I don't think many have figured out what plans he has just yet. But I have heard that he's previously gambled the fate of humanity on an experiment.
