[text] attention everyone shut the hell up
I assume you have all educated yourselves on what Philemon's intentions and goals are for this city in his latest charade, or you would not be wasting your time humoring that ludicrous and insipid excuse for literature.
Now, what about Nyarlathotep? Have any of you figured out anything about his plans for this city, or are you more concerned with petty child's play?

I'd rather be in No Man's Land than give them the satisfaction of playing along.

Wait...I never heard of something like that! Forget whatever this 'Switzerland' place of yours is, you have to pick a side! It's just...never been done before! Bad guys try to take over, the Good guys sweep in, I never heard of someone just...not doing anything!!

I simply have no intention of going with either of their plans of action.
1/2
2/2
Now that sounds like a fun path to take! Forget those two, and do what we want and show them what's for! Just say the word, and I'll help you out in any way I can!
text
[That was a surprisingly quick change in attitude??]
I appreciate your offer. Unfortunately I don't really have many plans now or for the long term. I'm not exactly a leader.
video
Really? Could have fooled me! You've got a lot of Jess', no-nonsense attitude.
Anyway, [now that she realizes she hasn't said hi properly because what are manners? Something boring that she doesn't need, that's what,] name's Lash, Wunderkind Scientific Extraordinaire and Commanding Officer, 4th in head-rank of the Black Hole forces or was anyway I guess I'm part of Orange Star now in Wars World!
[Please hold your applause. Actually no, please applause.]
Nice to meet you, Switzerland!

My name's Jun Kurosu. I'm just a high school student as Kasugami High. Or was, I suppose, since I don't intend to continue that pursuit.
Video
What is school like? Everyone keeps talking about it, and I know that most other nations in my homeworld have then, but I never attended one myself. Sounded boring anyway. I was mostly stuck in the Black Hole labs inventing weapons of mass destruction.
text
[Though, given the circumstances, maybe he should just drop the "Kurosu" altogether.]
It's not very interesting. You sit in a classroom with 20 to 30 other students your age and listen to someone teach you about math, science, literature-- things like that. Every now and then you'd take a written test on what you'd learned.
I was never really that fond of it myself.
Video
[The way sh says it, it sounds like she doesn't even care. Like listing a small fact of life.]
...so no hands-on anything? That really does sound boring! Glad Black Hole just stuck us in the war pits and saw if you were able to survive get out of there alive.
text
[
well we can't say he doesn't envy her situation]Not really. The public school system leaves something to be desired.
We weren't thrown out into war pits, [whatever those were] but I learned more through independent study than I ever did in my classroom.
text
They group fit Black Hole members together for breeding purposes, but children are state property. [She rolls her eyes and spins her wrist as she continues to talk.] Bla bla bla this is the part where most people and the nations in my homeworld went "Gasp! Those Black Hole Monsters!" But...we were a conquering state!
[She shrugs.]
Fear no challenge, fear no pain, fear no death! That's Black Hole's motto. I was raised in it, I don't see what the big deal is. Only the strong survived. Morality was considered a weakness. After all, science can achieve much more if you ignore it, right? Although I guess if the other nations beat us...Tsk! What am I even saying?
[Oh thank you subject change, she'll take it for 500$, Alex.]
Self-taught? Ha! So you're a thinking man. I can respect that! After all, a task like this requires careful planning like a life-and-death game of chess...
...this place is getting even more interesting! Finally!
text
The morality of science is certainly a touchy subject.
Regardless, I enjoy learning about the world around me.
But you've got the right idea. Playing between the lines requires a lot more care.
Hopefully I won't bore you.
[She nods when he mentions he won't bore her.]
Good! Cause no one really likes me when I'm bored.
[She bring up what she's been tinkering on while talking to him, and it looks like a small raygun. With a flicker of exaggerated flourish she fires it off, and blows the steam that rises from the tip.]
That wasn't threatening, by the way! I was just showing off!
[..At least she's really honest about those things?!]
text
In that case, you can leave the thinking to me. [He uh...had his own things to say about morality, but somehow he was sure that would just bore her; and this was probably best for both of them anyway.]
Don't worry, I believe you. And if that's the sort of thing you regularly deal with, I have to admit it's impressive.
