[text] attention everyone shut the hell up

I assume you have all educated yourselves on what Philemon's intentions and goals are for this city in his latest charade, or you would not be wasting your time humoring that ludicrous and insipid excuse for literature.

Now, what about Nyarlathotep? Have any of you figured out anything about his plans for this city, or are you more concerned with petty child's play?

I don't know. From what I saw when everyone got back they looked...I don't want to say "traumatized" but it's the only word I can think of. One of my friends started acting a lot colder to me than usual too.

It looks like you've had run ins with Nyarlathotep, so that would fit with something he'd do, right? I know I'm missing some context, but my friend hasn't told me what exactly happened over there.

Thank you. Though I might have to set up a trap for him just so he'd stay in the same room at this point!

Anyway I've been reading over these posts! And I thought about what his motive might be, overall. Because you said he's pretty much like anti-enlightenment, right?

Do you think that would involve breaking bonds? Somebody mentioned the Anoli vs Government thing, and there's also been pockets of anti-vistor sentiment spreading among the people who live here. It's not really huge, but bonds aren't just between individual people, right? People have bonds with different organizations or with their community, so could disrupting that be a thing too?

[Yes that very much sounded like he was speaking from experience yes.]

I'm not gonna ask but it sounds like you've seen it first hand.

I asked because people usually "evolve" by banding together or becoming united on a certain front. If the bonds people have here are disrupted, broken, or destroyed, then I doubt the people here will have any chance of survival. There's apparently nothing beyond this city and, if that's true, then everyone here needs to band together more than ever. The growing rifts are hindering that.

The frickin city mayor doesn't exactly help with that, but still, it's a real headache.

Yeah. Sad to say, I've seen this before. Nyarlathotep didn't have a hand in it, technically, but if conflicts between the natives and visitors get out of hand here, things are gonna go south, moreso if everything comes down to a matter of survival.
