Hello, everyone! You may have already noticed from the stores, but tomorrow is a holiday called Valentine's Day. I know not everyone is from Earth so I thought that it might be good to explain it.

Valentine's Day started in the West as a religious holiday, but it's turned into a holiday for showing people you love them! In some countries, you mostly give gifts to your girlfriend or boyfriend. In Japan (and Hinoto-ri) though, it's different. On Valentine's Day, women give chocolates to the men they know, and next month, on White Day, the men give gifts in return. Giving a guy fancy chocolates means you really like them! (o⌒.⌒o)♡

[If this were voice, this is where it would turn more serious.] A lot of us are waiting for people to come home, and we don't know how we can help that to happen yet. The people you love the most might not even be in the city at all. But we can still have fun for a day. And who knows... they might even show up tomorrow in time to celebrate.

...Anyway, if there are any girls (or boys, even) who want to learn how to make Valentine chocolates, come stop by the Iwatodai Dorm today. I have some ingredients ready. [attached: directions.txt] And if you have a recipe of your own you want to try, bring what you need and we'll make it, too!

[The feed flicks on to show an image of a large blue penguin man, lounging on a couch that is a little too small to fully support his generous bulk. Hinoto-Ri's apartments are apparently not quite one size fits all. Still, though, he's making due.]

So... anybody else get the feeling that Madame Butterfly's aim mighta been just a tad off when he plucked you up outta your world to fight in his little war? I'm not exactly what most people think of when they hear the word 'hero,' after all. That Luigi fella, Samus - hell, even the Captain - any of them woulda been a much better choice. I've had enough conflict and bloodshed for one lifetime, and I sure as shootin' don't intend to get involved in another pointless turf war with no end in sight.

[Collecting himself for a moment, DeDeDe takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly in a long sigh. Glancing to his left, he affectionately pats the large hammer propped up next to him. Just a moment to reflect on a brighter time - days long since passed.]

But there's one thing I do know how to do, so I figure maybe I was brought here for that instead. I've been around this city once or twice, and all I see's a bunch of uptight prudes worryin' their heads off over every little thing. And y'know what all that worryin' is gonna get you in the end? Fat lot of nothin', that's what. You all need to relax a little - kick back, tie one on, let go a little bit and enjoy life. Trust me, you've got a good thing goin' here. This city's a nice place. Hell of a lot nicer than the shithole I came from, anyway. Take a minute to think about that and appreciate it. After all, all work and no play... well, you know the rest.

[He chuckles a bit before flashing a small smile.]

Well, I've said my piece. Take it or leave it. Now, where's a man go to have a little fun 'round here?

I'm newly arrived to this city, and I'm curious to see if there are any others here that might be from the same place that I am. Is anyone familiar with the planets Coral and Ragol? Or any of the planets in the Gurhal system (Parum, Moatoob, Neudaiz)?

Well, now that I've been deemed in good enough condition to leave THAT dreary place...

I suppose some of you hero types are going to be charging off to save the day! How noble of you. Still, it creates business for me as much as it does for the doctors of this city! And in honor of you going off and potentially foolishly getting yourself killed by unknown forces, I hereby declare that all of my healing potions and Patra stones are 25% off! After all, I'd like SOME way to remember all of you. Or at least your bank accounts. Oh ho ho ho ho!

[Locked to the Network]

As you may have heard from my esteemed colleges or seen from the video anomaly, the Mictlan appears to have caused quite a commotion. I have been approved for an expedition later tonight. However, this is to be done without the government's aid. While they appreciated your efforts during the tournament, the media's eyes are currently turned on the Visitors as a whole and if the Anoli found out what was going on, they could use this to their advantage.

Time is of the essence, as there are more and more questions as to where our peers have gone off to. Obviously that question needs an answer.

Do not bother coming if you can't stand up and fight on your own.
