As far as I can tell, this has something to do with something called the Shining Trapezohedron that was found recently. Apparently the members of the 7 who disappeared found it first, and then the people on the recent rescue expedition. It seems to be connected to somebody named Nyarlathotep, and from the looks of things it's got some pretty ridiculous transportation capabilities. I don't know much more beyond that yet.
