[In the aftermath of the tournament, and the revelation of what may lie within Mictlan, Zelda has a question about the mission Philemon gives each Visitor when they arrive.]
What do you think "protect the city" means?
What do you think "protect the city" means?
Voice
Probably the people in it, I think. We can't exactly protect everything in the city.
[So... better it be the things that matter, right?]
Voice
Of course, I am not suggesting protecting those who are so fond of the tactics of terrorists, but I am trying to look at this from the view of whatever kind of being brought us here.
[Which is easier said than done.]
Voice
[sigh. She misses when things were simpler.]
They don't really seem to want us as their friends anyway.
[Or allies. Or anything. Which suits her just fine but still, she's worried other people might agree with them]

Well, it's a city! And it needs protecting, so, well. We protect it from whatever happens, right?

[This is a simple question with a simple answer to Asem. When one defines his struggle as "protecting my loved ones," it tends to be.]
[Voice]
Do the members of the Anoli count under your definition of "the people"?

voice;
To be honest... I can't say I'm completely sure, but I agree with what's been said before. We need to protect this city and those in it, but I'm more concerned about those in it. And with how the media is filtering what happened...
[She's worried they might not be getting the full picture.]
voice;
[How are they supposed to do their job when the government makes their job hard to do, oi.]

[Assuming she's not masking the gender of her voice, here.]
[voice]
But it is not my own definition I am questioning, rather that of the man in the butterfly mask - the one we see before finding ourselves here. I know what it means to me.
[Completing the task set before her and finding a way to return home.]

[Yup, there's a Zelda back in his world too. He recognizes the voice, but doesn't know it isn't the same one just yet.]
Voice
[And, of course, this Zelda doesn't recognize the other at all.]
My apologies, but I do not believe I know your voice. Who is this?

[Not with all that the Anoli leader had accused them and the government of, with how his speech had gotten censored. Things are far, far less black and white than they had been presented to them; that's the only thing Riku is certain off now.]
voice;
[They know nothing about the politics or citizenry, let alone the powers they have come to possess...]
Voice
[He's sounding a little bit hollow though, as if the response was a practiced one to him.]
Voice
A noble ideal... But I cannot help but wonder if such godlike beings hold the same kind of values.
