But before that, I guess I should introduce myself! I've been having to go around town a lot, especially since all this mess started, yet I don't remember doing too much introducing and whatnot... I'm-- [Seriously? One of the girl's sharp yells cuts off Adachi, and he glances behind him.] --ah, hey! Come on, you can't just headbutt an officer!

[Adachi grimaces.] ...I better make this quick, then. I'm Adachi, and... [More and more keeps on happening over his shoulder.] Don't worry about this mess. We've got it covered!

[Yet, he still nervously glances behind himself to check up on it before back down at his COMP.] Y-Yeah, you can count on the Hinoto-Ri police! Now, if you'll excuse me... [However, a few seconds before he cuts off the feed, the sort of riot isn't settling...] H-He-- [Then it blacks out.]

Sheesh, now I know why they never really show crowd control on TV. [Believe it or not, Adachi did get at least a year in before getting stuck in Inaba... Mostly horrible cases involving saving married couples' cats, though.] Hinoto-Ri is so different from back home... Even in the big city, we never had mobs like that...

[Sometimes different didn't mean awesome.]

Well, this place isn't like the average big city. I've not seen people get whipped into such a frenzy over books, though. It's definitely an oddity.

[On one hand: Hinoto-Ri is as far away from the boonies as it could get. On the other: what is with this what even. It's funny how much can happen in a month.] But, it wasn't completely random, at least. But it was still pretty weird. Apparently, one of the kids who starred in the book was caught wandering around Junes, and, well, you know... [Well...] It's funny how quickly people can get catch wind of stuff like that.

[Shou visibly winces at Adachi's story, complete with a 'ooof' noise.]

Popularity's one thing, but that's way too much. Is the kid okay at least? Rough as they were getting with an officer, I can't imagine they'd be too nice to their target...

Actually, the kid looks way better than me right now. [You know, sans the tiny pink hoodie...] I don't know why the people here are so different, though. Like, you wouldn't do that to the police back home. They were rabid.

I'm not sure about that - it depends on the situation. Granted, I'd expect it for something more, ah... Fitting than a trashy novel.
