What do you think "protect the city" means?

No, but I don't see much reason in protecting people who lock us up and think we'll do their dirty work for them.

[Her eyebrows raise at his description of "her" actions. Declaring herself the ruler of a foreign kingdom in the absence of the true heir to the throne? No... No, that sounds far too much like Ganondorf's doing for her to be comfortable.

What if Philemon's definition of "protect the city" is different from the government's? Does that affect your opinion at all?

That would make two of us. [A frustrated sigh.] Normally, I would question why a being like Philemon would be interested in a conflict like the one between the government and the Anoli, but then this entire town is unlike anything I have ever seen.

That's not what he's been runnin' around tellin' everyone. 'Course, I can understand the need to embellish things a bit every now and again. A man's got his pride, after all. Gotta say, though, I'm a little confused about how you don't remember any of this. You hit that pretty little head of yours or somethin'?

I mean, don't get me wrong, I like you much better this way - all prim and proper like - but you'll forgive me if I find it hard to believe that you just forgot all that. The Mushroom Kingdom, Dream Land, Angel Land... none of that ringin' a bell for you?

Ganondorf running around anywhere would be impossible, considering the Hero of Time, the Sages, and I sealed him away. And I can assure you that in no way did I concuss myself into believing such.

The only explanation I can think of, despite all reason saying otherwise, is that I am not the Princess Zelda you know.

If it is different? He hasn't made it clear that it is, maybe he should do that.

If Philemon is some kind of god or manifestation of order, maybe he sides with an ordered government by default.

Even if the anarchists have some good points in their speeches before they start blowing things up.

It's never abnormal for a being of an entirely different status to hold different views on what they view as protectors.

And you should thank your lucky stars you're not, if that's really what's goin' on here. Things didn't go so well for Hyrule back home.

[He shakes his head for a moment before smiling back at her. His gaze is heavy with the horrors he's seen in his time.]

I'll tell ya this, though: if you're the same one, and that stuff just hasn't happened to you yet, do yourself a favor and keep Hyrule's currency just the way it is. Back home, greed destroyed Hyrule in a way Ganondorf never could, and a hell of a lot faster too.

Yeah...I know what you mean. There's a war going on back home, one I've been fighting in for over a year. And the war itself has been raging for over forty.

Precisely. [Then, with a bit more exasperation:] It makes figuring out such cryptic missions a trial in and of itself.

That would certainly make things simpler, yes. As things stand now, however, all we can do is make inferences.
