They let you do different attacks, basically. Most people can only use a few - I can use a few hundred. I'm not entirely sure why, though it's probably got something to do with why I got dragged into the whole mess in the first place.

Ah sorry. With Persona users, in my world a wild card was someone who could use a lot of different Personas and have many different ones in their head at any given time.
