Hi, everybody! It's been a few days since I arrived, and I think I'm settled in enough to introduce myself. I'm Sasha Fyer, and I travel to different worlds to take notes on them for my job. But it wasn't a part of my job to go here... I've never been to a world that came to me first before! This is a new experience.

Anyway, I've been doing some reading up, and everything is just so... fascinating! From Personas- I don't think mine has woken up yet- to that Philemon guy to Hinoto-Ri itself- this is a cool place! And the gadgets are cool, too! Watch this! [She giggles as the COMP glasses appear on her head, and then disappear.] So cool!

How about you guys tell me a little bit about your worlds? I'm curious to hear about where the other people like me have come from. I hope to see you guys around the city! That'd be great! Anyway, I'm going to go look around the city some more. This is a big place. See ya!

Well, the place had a weird tendency to attract the remnants of other worlds. Nobody really knows what's going on out there, but we seem to get the stragglers. Makes life interesting, anyway. I think I remember hearing that there used to be people who went there for the hell of it in the past, though.

Looks like we're both new here, huh? Kind of a crazy situation overall.

I see... so your world was kind of like a hub for world travelers? I've been to a place like that before! Only... it was a building, not an entire world.

Oh, you're new here, too? When did you arrive? I arrived on the day of that big festival. It was a good day to travel to a new world, let me tell you that!

I guess so. Historically, it was pretty popular among adventurers because it used to sort of randomly get new places to explore, so it was like an eternal source of treasures, or something. Nowadays we mostly just find the scraps of other worlds. It's hard to describe.

Hmm? I'd say around the same time? I suppose technically it's not the first time I've found myself on a whole new world, but the last time that happened was so long ago I barely remember it anyway.

Ooh, now that sounds like a place I'd like to check out! But... scraps of other worlds? Would you be willing to tell me more? [She reaches over and grabs a notebook and a pencil.]

Oh, so you arrived during the festival too? It was great, wasn't it? But what do you mean? Did you use to be capable of worldhopping, too?

*He scratches his head.*

Honestly, nobody really knows what the deal is. All they know is there's these crystals that started showing up, and the right sort of magic lets them expand into little sections of the worlds they came from. Buildings, landmarks, that sort of stuff. There's a lot of little ideological wars over the whole thing. I try not to get involved, myself.

Ah... no. Apparently I was a refugee myself. One of the first ones, apparently. But I was a little kid at the time, so I don't really have a lot of memory of the place I came from.

[Sasha is writing frantically in her notebook.]

I see, I see...! That's cool stuff! People I know back home would go nuts over the ability to study things like that. Little pieces of other worlds... that's fascinating.

A refugee? Oh, I guess you wouldn't remember from what. So you were sent to your current world somehow... neat.

I guess. Like I said, I try to stay out of most of that stuff. Way too many feuds over it.

So it seems. Me and a bunch of other people, I guess. People make a bigger deal of my age at the time than I think it's worth.

...er, incidentally, is there any reason you're writing all of this down? You a journalist, or...

Where I come from, my job is investigating events and people in other worlds. Coming here wasn't part of my job, but hey, I think my higher-ups might appreciate some details on worlds they haven't investigated yet.

Ah ha. I guess that means you've seen a lot of weird worlds out there, huh?

*He hopes it's not all secretly one big sinister conspiracy or something.*

Well, I wouldn't really consider them "weird." Every world has its own set of rules, and that's just how it is. You have to learn to accept "weirdness" if you travel like I do.

I guess that's fair enough. We get a lot of people who are weirded out by our world, but I guess if you do it a lot it's something to get used to. No culture shock?

Hmm, culture shock... I've had it a few times. People can be a bit less modest than I'm used to... my people back home tend to be a little conservative, which leads to them butting heads with humans on occasion. So, when I see chainmail-bikini-clad amazons, it weirds me out a bit.
