I assume you have all educated yourselves on what Philemon's intentions and goals are for this city in his latest charade, or you would not be wasting your time humoring that ludicrous and insipid excuse for literature.

Now, what about Nyarlathotep? Have any of you figured out anything about his plans for this city, or are you more concerned with petty child's play?

Sounds like you have experience with these two. So wouldn't it be smarter to share your thoughts on what Nyarlathotep's plans are rather than asking that of people who have no clue who he is or what he's capable of?

Information is pointless if everyone is too distracted to pay attention.

I care about the end of their ludicrous "game," and I care that I and those I care about are left out of it.
I don't care what happens otherwise.

"Good conquering evil" is a stupid fairytale.

If you simply think that you'll succeed by allowing things to fall into place, you might as well lay down and die now to save yourself the suffering.

Sounds like we're all in trouble! I don't know for sure if you're trying to help or make other people angry, though. Can you afford to be a little more decent?

Nyarlathotep strives to spread despair and decay to all of humanity.
It's likely that the entire thing was completely orchestrated by him, to lead you and Philemon on.
However, though Philemon wishes to represent what is good, his grasp on what that is is tenuous at best.

If it's any consolation, give the scope of their conflict I'm sure you were able to reach out to someone.
The presence of either of them is irrelevant to that.

I dealt with them directly in my own universe.
But the Crawling Chaos is exactly that; an entity of Chaos.
My friends and I weren't able to discern the true critical points of his plan until it was too late.
But as I've just arrived here, I have no idea where he's been lurking. Perhaps it was a pipe dream to think that someone else was paying attention.

Who stuck a stick up your ass? Isn't there a saying, all work and no play make someone a dull boring person?

And I've seen "good" fall and "evil" destroy the world.

You're too naïve.

All will not pay attention.
But those that do listen will carry the information to others.
Mankind is not ignorant, or hopeless. If given care, they can bring about miracles. They can fight any fate, and make their own future.

This is the truth about humanity. One neither Philemon or Nyarlathotep understand- they do not desire enlightenment or death. Man wants freedom. And they will have it.

You can stay out of this conflict, and hold your information. You have that choice. I wish you only the best luck in tending to those you care about.

Worrying about a teen romance novel is not exactly what I'd call "rising to the challenge."

I don't know anything about Nyarlathotep's plans, but I assume with how much Philemon tries to screw with our lives, his intentions probably aren't much better.

I missed meeting the guy while we were in the Tower, but if his goal is wanton destruction, I imagine he's got a hand in pitting the Government and the Anoli against each other. And the books aren't that much of a waste of time. They're very quick reads.

Monsters like that have never amounted to more than an arbitrary distraction.
I'm not asking anyone to rush headlong into wherever he's hiding himself-- there's more to fighting these battles than brute force. Simply trying to figure out what he's doing is a good start.

And it would help if people who have experience with him would provide a starting point.

Unless you don't have any ideas, yourself.
