Perhaps. Though that then begs the question on why this conflict in particular. Differences in ideology are things every state must deal with at some point or another, I feel.

[She doesn't smile back, too confused by his words. Trust is not something that comes easy to her, and his crudeness certainly doesn't help matters. ... But there's a strange, dirtied sense of honor about him, which makes her nod at his advice.]

...Sorry 'bout all that. This's all plenty odd for me too. Can't say I'm not grateful for the surprise one-up, but I wonder just what we're all here to do. I know from experience - protectin' the city means a lot of different things, dependin' on who you talk to.

Yeah, I can feel you on that. I have no clue when the war I'm fighting is going to end. It could be in a year, or it could be in 25 years.

It's hard to figure out who's telling the truth when both sides shoot at each other and conceal information, too.

You're welcome! It usually helps to have a sounding board of sorts when you're trying to solve a problem, or figure something out. Someone to bounce what you've got off of, and can provide insight into something you might not have thought of.
