i have a question.

what does it mean to you to be a hero?

I believe that a hero is someone who puts the needs of others before their own. The deeds and motivations, however, can differ from person to person.

what if they want what others need too.

I believe so, yes. In some cases, a hero is the person who is willing to stand up when others are unwilling or unable.

but that sounds so simple...

I believe that true heroes are, at their hearts, very simple.

But I also believe that true heroes are very hard to find. I have only ever met one such man in my life.

what were they like?

Croix was kind. Loyal to his ideals and, more importantly, to the people he served as a knight. He did not allow politics to stop him from doing what he felt was right.

He was also an excellent listener.

Politics are, in essence, the actions, beliefs, and practices of governmental officials. They are often very complicated.

the forest didn't really have any government.

It may be complicated, but government is an important aspect of civilization! If there were no government in Hinoto-Ri, none of the Guests would have a place to live.

That may work for small settlements, but for countries and cities it just wouldn't work.

i guess that's why hyrule has a princess.
