The last place I was, major holidays tended to get... rather unpleasant.

No, there was another place in between. Funny how you can go billions of years without once getting dragged into a strange place against your will and then two come along right in a row.

I'm not sure how much the two really have in common though. The persona thing is new. No fake families either.

Yes, there's that, I did get terribly attached to the grandkids. And, well, my assigned husband.

Most people didn't make much of it, other than having to live in the same house at least some of the time. Our case was a bit... unusual, that was all.

Kinda. There were constructs who insisted all the relationships were real. Sometimes there were constructs filling out the household if there weren't enough kidnapees to fill in father, mother and two kids.
