[Yep, it's another anon text from him. He's just not comfortable putting his name out there yet. Especially when posting something like this that people might get angry at.]

I'm just wondering. Does anyone else have a problem that there's actual demons wandering around? I mean… they're demons. Aren't they all supposed to be evil? Or possess people or something? It seems like no one's really bothered that there are some on the streets and stuff. We didn't really talk about them much at church… but still.

On a semi-related note, I haven't been able to find any churches in this city. I know Japan's not heavily Christian, but there should be at least one around, right?

[It's super weird to someone from midwest America, okay.]

The demons here certainly aren't like the ones you're accustomed to at home, I'm sure. Still, I believe that 'evil' is a bit too general of a term to categorize all demons under, even if they are technically on the side of Evil.

[Just like how he doesn't consider himself particularly good despite being on the side of Good.]

That being said, one of my closest friends back home is a demon, a fallen angel actually. And really, he wasn't such a bad guy. He just hung around the wrong people.

[Crowley would probably kill him for saying that but hey, they were worlds apart, he was going to call the old serpent a good guy all he wanted.]

Oh certainly not. Simply because you work for a side doesn't mean you necessarily agree with that side. Similarly, sides themselves aren't so black and white.

There are a lot of things that Evil does that people might consider not-so-bad, as well as a lot of things that Good does that people certainly wouldn't consider all-that-good.

The Crusades are a testament to that, along with any violent war or revolution ever to have happened in history. Sometimes there are even things in-between that don't belong to any side.

Like policemen.
dancingonapin: (You don't say?)

For the longest time I thought policemen were from Down There. It turns out they thought policemen were created by Up There.

Neither was responsible. Policemen are a terribly confusing human thing.

Yes, everything here is certainly different... I imagine it's quite different for everyone who arrives, not just ourselves. If you want my advice, you are right that it's a good idea to be careful around demons, but to go by the assumption that they are all malevolent isn't exactly conducive to a healthy mind, is it? Many of them are citizens of the city. You'd be living in constant fear for very little reason if you believed that every one of them was terribly evil and out to get you.

I mean goodness, people tend to be just as capable of such terrible things as demons. Usually worse, really. But that is no reason to be paranoid of all of them, it just doesn't do any good to live in that sort of fear.
dancingonapin: (Yeah about that.)

[Err...

Well he'd been having some suspicions about who he was talking to, but he was certain now.]

Not everyone is like that, Lev, though I certainly see your point. The demons here, and certainly even the people, do not go by the same rules as back home- at your home or my own.

I'm not saying that you should trust everyone, but you certainly shouldn't fear everyone. The demons here are unusual but they aren't going to cause you any harm.

If they do, let me know, and I'll take care of it.
dancingonapin: (Smirk.)

Of course, you can contact me any time and let me know if you're having any troubles.

[It's the least he could do to make up for scaring Lev so badly during their first conversation.]
