To everyone else: I'm sorry about the loud, screaming goddess you just heard. She has this stupid thing against humans where she wants to wipe them all out. Just ignore her. Even if she is being really loud.

What happened to him?

His father was a brilliant man who who designed the labyrinth that kept the Minotaur was imprisoned in. After the Minotaur was defeated, the King imprisoned Icarus and his father on an island as punishment. Icarus's father then fashioned wings out of wax and feathers to help them escape and warned Icarus not to fly too close to the sun nor too close to the sea. Icarus did not heed this warning, too overcome with the joy and freedom of flight, which melted the wax on his wings and they fell apart. Icarus then fell to the sea and drowned.

[ Right now the only happy thing he can think of is someone showing up and saying "Surprise, Pit! You can fly! Limitless flight! And it doesn't matter how high or how low or how long, you'll always stay in the air and you'll never get injured or die because of it!" And having that be the truth.

.... [She isn't the physically affectionate type, but if she were next to Pit right now, she would insist on giving him a hug. He just sounds so utterly heartbroken over not being able to fly she wants to do anything in her power to help him.]

Then, if you cannot use your wings to fly, perhaps you should try other means. There are people from many worlds here. Maybe one of them could have a method as to how to help you to properly use your wings.

Viridi can do it, but only for five minutes. If I use that power longer than five minutes, my wings burn up. And that's...the only way to really kill an angel in my world.

Plus, I...I've gone over the limit before.

[Suddenly the reference to Icarus makes sense. It shocks Arturia, but then again, if his world is a game, it makes sense that the reference to Icarus would have some sort of symbolism to it.]

I want to use my wings. I mean, that's what they're there for, right? I just...want a way to fly that doesn't involve fire...

There's something wrong with my wings. I dunno--maybe it's 'cause they aren't on my head? All the other Centurions have wings on their heads and they can fly just fine...

Wouldn't the wings being on your head make it harder to fly? All the weight of your body would be pulling on your neck as you flew.
