[Running is heard behind him and a voice is heard. It sounds like Ciel's voice]

[A series of ropes fly in the air and bind Orpheus so that he can't move. He continues to struggle, all the while screaming.]

[Clang! Q opted to use a small tranquilizer gun on Orpheus from the back, knocking him right out.]

[He turns towards the camera, adjusting his tie as if there was no problem in the world. Even in dire situations, he is a calm man.]

It appears that a bout of paranoia has hit citizens of the city. At first we had assumed it was just the local population, but now with Orpheus....also affected, it means some of you may be in turn. We are trying to find the source of these matters, but our search has been fruitless.

Even the demonic population isn't quite sure what is going on.

Be vigilant. If you feel you are affected, please do your best to stay calm.

[As he speaks in the back, you can hear Ciel and Minerva talking about locking Orpheus up for his own good...and their ears.]

I'm more leaning towards an energy field or something. Chemical agents are sloppy at best and most mind affecting technology tends to be smaller in scope from my experience.

I'll activate the Nadesico's distortion field to test for energy fields.

I can try to lend a hand with the testing, if you think there's something I can do.

Travel right now is a bit dangerous. There's a small army of those scorpion things outside the Nadesico right now. Omoikane has been dealing with them as well as can be done with ships weaponry but its imprecise when dealing with targets so small.

I think I'm going to be taking off soon and seeing if anyone needs evacuation help so if you can find a high up position perhaps I can be of assistance.

I'm going to find a weapon first, though. I'm not qualified with firearms, but something less powerful should be fine against bugs, even big ones. There should be something near my job...

Do you want me to prep your robot for launch? It should be large enough to deal with any bugs as well.

It would be a good idea, but I probably won't use it. I've optimized the targeting as much as I can, but it will still only be useful against targets at least ten meters or so tall. Anything smaller and the weapons would cause too much collateral damage.

I'll have Omoikane have it ready then. I'm moving to a higher elevation so people can call me and the Nadesico if an evac is needed, I can also move it to you more easily that way.
