When the feed switches on, it shows Desco wearing a party hat, her tail wagging fiercely behind her.

"Hello, Desco's adorable subjects! Today, Desco turns five! Therefore, you are required to come give her tribute! There will be cake for all successful tributeers!"

She pauses slightly.

"Oh! Also, Desco now lives at the Shinonome residence, since the rest of her family has disappeared. So come there, got it?"

Desco nods hard enough that her party hat slips down and catches on one of her horns.

"Uh-huh! Flower Demons all look like girls, but they're actually boys! They use this to their advantage in the Netherworld to build devoted followings of gross old men!"

As she pushes the party hat back up, Desco beams happily.

"Desco is just going to assume that it works the same way in Celestia!"

Who knows, it might...

[She doubts it, but hey, she's just a robot. What does she know about this sort of thing.]

"Time for cake!"

And now Desco will wait patiently - like a good girl! - for the cake to be served.

[all_wound_up]

[Good girl, Desco. Nano smiles appreciatively as she cuts the cake, making sure to give the birthday girl a nice big slice with lots of jagged metal sticking out of it. Her own slice is markedly more normal.]

Here you go! It's your birthday, so you can have as much cake as you want today!

Desco's delighted smile spreads from pointy ear to pointy ear, exposing quite an expanse of pearly white fangs.

"Yaaay! Desco loves you, Sis!"

Okay, first things first: extracting the metal pieces from the cake, and then extruding a pair of tentacles from her back to devour them. Once that is done, it is time for Dainty Desco Eating Habits to take over as she delicately cuts small, bite-sized chunks of cake to eat.

[Nano is all smiles as she watches Desco eating her first bite, only starting in herself once she's devoured all of the metal out of it.]

It's nice having you here.

Desco is busy nibbling at a square of cake, but once that is done (and she's dabbed away the crumbs with her napkin) she grins at Nano before (very seriously) informing her of something.

"Desco likes being here! She is seriously considering digging the house up and using it as her Grand Space Castle in the future!"

There's a slight pause as Desco's voice drops down a little, shyly.

"...does Sis want to live with Desco in space?"

But all of our friends live down here... wouldn't it be lonely?

"Space is healthy! And Desco used to do part-time work as a Dimensional Gatekeeper, so she knows how to set up quantum tunnels to all sorts of places!"

Could you connect one to my world?

[tyrantball]

"Desco would have to actually go there first."

[all_wound_up]

Maybe we should try to use that Trapezo... thing... sometime.

"The Shining Trapezohedron!"

Desco pronounces the name with no difficulty, beaming proudly.

"Since Desco is a fearsome and adorable avatar of Yog-Sothoth, she naturally has information on all things related to the noisome boundaries of time and space!"

Do you know how it works?

"Not this one! The one Desco knows about is just something that summons Nyarlothothep when light shines on it! So all her knowledge really amounts to is how to pronounce Trapezohedron properly."

...Oh.

[Nano looks a little downcast.]

"Don't worry, Sis! Desco will make a tunnel to your world even if she has to brutally tear down the walls between every reality that exists!"

Won't that cause problems for the other worlds?

"...so?"

I don't want to go home at the expense of other peoples' homes.

Desco's frowning a little.

"...Desco doesn't understand."

That isn't fair to the people who live there.

Desco looks at Nano and blinks several times.

She takes a small bite of cake and chews for a while, thinking.

She looks back at Nano.

"...Desco still doesn't understand."

[all_wound_up]

It isn't right to hurt other people or destroy the places where they live just because they happen to be between you and something you want.
