The message Desco posts on the network - the public network - is short and incredibly angry.

"This is a new low even for you, Des-X! Are you too scared of the Final Boss to face her one-on-one‽ Gather up as many minions as you like, you stupid cow! I'LL STILL KILL YOU FOR THIS!"

...hm. Wonder what happened.

You...kind of need to identify the person you want to kill before you go and start a rampage, Desco.

[Is he going to tell her off for wanting to kill people? NOPE.]

...But you literally can't see anything? Wouldn't that make it hard to find the person you want to get revenge on?

Desco pauses to think that over before replying.

"...Desco isn't sure how to find them. And Desco can see, she just can't use all seventeen of her eyes, which is the same thing as being blind!"

"Des-X looks like Desco but with a different color palette."

"If it's a human doing this, Desco assumes he is fat and greasy with a lot of gross body hair."

Hey, that might be the stereotype, but that doesn't mean the one who is doing this is like that. It could be supernatural in origin...I mean, I wouldn't be surprised, what with the monsters and demons out and about.

"Yes. Desco is a different color because she is the high-performance prototype!"

There's a slight tapping sound, as if Desco is clicking her claws against something.

"...maybe. If it is a demon, then the voting public might be less panicked when Desco kills it and parades the corpse through the streets!"

"Oh! If it is a demon, Desco could just Magichange into an axe and have someone wield her!"

A plan of action at last! Desco sounds a bit more upbeat.

Maybe you should just stay at home and...not turn into weaponry. That sounds like a plan.

"But this is part of a campaign against Desco! If she just stays at home, her incredibly low-level and fragile uncles might get dragged into it! And then Desco would have to kill the mastermind even harder!"

There's a slight whimper in her voice as she says this.

"Desco's already running low on ideas to make them die screaming in fear! She doesn't want to delay her revenge just to think up more!"

Hey, a lot of people are being affected, it isn't just you. But anyways, if you want to go out there and run into walls in your pursuit of justice, be my guest.

Do you even know where to start looking?

"No. Desco figures she will just wander around and kill anyone that attacks her. It is a foolproof plan, because nobody would attack Desco unless they thought she was crippled!"

[A sigh.]

If you want to get killed by someone stronger, then that is really the best plan. It is. Especially since you have no idea who you're facing with or what their power is.

"But there isn't anyone stronger than Desco! That's why she's the Final Boss!"

Even Final Bosses can get defeated if they're blind, Desco.

"But Desco isn't suited for inaction!"

And now she's just whining.

[Ughhhhhhhh he's really considering just doing the heartless thing and switching this off right then and there, but something makes him stay,]

You'll just have to wait until it passes. Or maybe go out and kill some monsters during the 13th hour if you really can't stand not doing anything. Then, you can do whatever you like when your eyesight, I don't care.

Desco whimpers deep in her throat before replying.

"If Desco waits it out like a good girl, will you come visit? Des-X might try to hurt you to get Desco riled again."
