3rd Pokeball: Actors Wanted

As the feed snaps on, it shows Kotoha in profile, leaning back in a chair and looking thoughtful. The chair itself is tilting back on two legs as Kotoha starts speaking without looking at the camera.

"So I found the Velvet Room earlier today, and Caroline asked me to bring her a movie. Apparently they don't...have movies in there."

At this, Kotoha sits up a little straighter, the front legs of the chair falling to the ground with a thunk. She proceeds to flip the chair around so the back of it is facing the camera, and rotates to look directly into it, straddling the chair with her arms resting on the back.

"So, listen. My pride as an actress won't let me just...go out and buy her a DVD."

A pause for a slightly wry smirk.

"Well...maybe if it was one of my DVDs, but fat chance of finding one of those here. Anyway."

A slight cough to clear her throat before she continues.

"What I'd like to do is actually make a movie for her - which brings me, at last, to the actual point. I can handle a lot of the stuntwork and special effects and stuff, but it won't change the fact that it's only...well, me. So what I need are, you know...actors."

Behind her, a large black bipedal fox creature sneaks into the frame, holding up a sign with the lettering OUT OF WORK WILL ACT 4 FOOD on it, snickering under its breath. Not taking her eyes off the feed, Kotoha addresses it, sounding weary.

"Put the sign down, Zoroark, you aren't as funny as you think you are. Anyway, if you're interested in being in a movie, feel free to contact me."

Kotoha smiles.

"Oh, no, that's fine! Experience with the camera is at least as important as acting experience! I'm Kotoha, what's your name?"

[prettytamer]

"Midori~ It's nice to meet you! So, how can I help?"

[unbroken_chain]

"Well, right now I'm just cataloging the offers - once I've got a full crew and I know what I'm working with I can be more definite. For now, though, how about you tell me what your camera experience actually is?"

[prettytamer]

"We-ell, I'm a camgirl, basically. I do cosplay!" Midori sounds a little embarrassed admitting this when it's real acting experience being discussed. "I'm good at making outfits too if that's what we need."

[unbroken_chain]

"Oh, outfits would be great. How good are you at, say...kind of medieval-ish fantasy type clothes?"

[prettytamer]

"I could make them if I had the materials and enough time. My forte's more modern stuff, but I'll give it my best shot!"

[unbroken_chain]

"Um, hold on, I think I still have one of the cast glossies..."

Kotoha stands up and goes off screen briefly. There are sounds of something being rummaged through, and then she returns.

"Okay, so here's the thing - we don't need complete costumes, but I would like the costumes to be the right...shape, I guess? It'll make it easier to get the illusions on them that way."

With that, she holds up an 8 by 10 glossy showing Kotoha and an older woman posing side-by-side, smiling.

[prettytamer]

"I can do that! Just uh, give me a budget for the materials."

She's not paying for this movie herself.

[unbroken_chain]

And that's when Kotoha blanks out for a while.

"...oh, right, budget. I keep forgetting I'm not rich anymore."

Okay, please give her a minute to think this over.

"Okay, uh...how about we go looking for the fabric together?"

[prettytamer]

"Okay, can do~"

This is almost as exciting as fighting monsters here.

"Okay, I'm in Libra 10-01. Shall we meet up and do some planning before we head out?"

[prettytamer]

"I'll be right over! I'm in Pisces but it shouldn't take too long."
