Depends on what you want to learn to fight with. I know unarmed combat and how to use a number of weapons.

What works best for fighting demons?

Something sharp. So if you wish, I could teach you how to use either a lance or a sword.

They are both good weapons. However, I would say a lance.

It's a tad more awkward to wield, but it has a longer range so there's a less of a chance of the enemy being able to attack you, and they are useful for sweeping away groups of enemies.

Personally I'm working with a combination of swordsmanship and magic, but that's just what works best for me.

You might be a totally different type.
