They are both good weapons. However, I would say a lance.

Well, I can help with the Persona if you'd like. You can probably find someone else who's better with weapons.

It's a tad more awkward to wield, but it has a longer range so there's a less of a chance of the enemy being able to attack you, and they are useful for sweeping away groups of enemies.

Personally I'm working with a combination of swordsmanship and magic, but that's just what works best for me.

You might be a totally different type.
