[He's been silent for a while. Ever since arriving, Yarne's been dealing with trying not to get himself killed...or so it seemed, maybe, to everyone else. In actuality, he's been spending the last week getting less and less social, to the point where he's going on long walks without telling his allies and avoiding looking at his communicator altogether. He's even taken to sleeping outside of his assigned room.
Today is different, though. After fighting some demons during the thirteenth hour, he turns it on. At the moment, he's leaning against a wall not far from his apartment, looking a bit feverish. He's holding his head in one hand and glaring down at his watch in the other. There are two things very wrong with Yarne's appearance...to those who know him. For one, he's wearing a pair of jeans and a thick black coat. Two, there's a bit of blood on the axe leaning next to him...and some on his face. He hasn't washed up.]
This week has been nothing more than a pain in the ass.
[His hand leaves hand so he can reach down to his side and pull up his evoker. He looks at it for a moment before tossing it to the side. It hits the ground with a loud clang.]
...That's an evoker. It ain't doing shit to bring out my Persona. [He growls.] There's something wrong. What the hell is it? It's a gun, but...despite everything I've done, I shouldn't know what it is. [His message may be cryptic, but the memories to him are so clear. He's been shot before, fixing something...taking care of something. But he also knows, extremely vaguely, that despite being able to hold one and use one without flinching...that he's never seen one before.]
...Tch. [He brings his hand back to his head, starting to shake a little. The way he scowls, it's very clear that this Taguel is in great pain.] What's it all mean? Probably nothing more than a waste of everyone's time, but...something's different.
[He scowls again, but it's followed by another wince. His head hurts so much...he has to take a knee at this point. When he speaks again, there's a renewed firmness to his voice. He tries to set the message to private, but...he doesn't know how.]
Minako. Are you...busy right now?
[...He's not sure why he's asking, and it looks like he's about to say something else...but there's a loud screech and a fireball thrown at him. He dodges without flinching.]
Tch. Figures. [He grabs his axe and reaches to turn off his feed, but not before he says one more thing.] Time to say adiós, assholes.
[ooc; So, kind a big note here. My grandmother passed away, so this is the ONLY event post I'll be doing for Yarne, that's why there's a lot of personality forced into this. If his castmates want to find him and try to figure out what the hell is wrong with him or anyone else is concerned, we can start an action thread somewhere! Just let me know. I will be slow (the funeral is this weekend), but I wanted to get this up. I will backtag this, I swear.]

Which means there's a lot of uncertainty on her side (and not just from the memory switching either); not to mention concern - the blood on his face isn't exactly reassuring her of anything. ]
Are you alright? Do you need any help? It looks pretty dangerous...

[He offers a reassuring smirk. He still knows who Lucina is, naturally, and she's important to him. ...Of course, he's confused about everything else.]
I'm fine. Except for these...headaches.
(video) oops i forgot.
persontaguel she's known. It would make more sense if he was running away. Talking about extinction. Which he's not doing, and gods, she hopes she didn't upset him, or anything.But the next part catches her interest. ] You have them too? The headaches, I mean. [ She grimaces just then, as another pang runs through her head. ] They've been a constant presence for a while, now.
It's okay, I figured o7
[He knows what she's going to say, somehow, because he remembers not being like this, but it's easier being like whatever this is. It feels more natural to him.]
They're worse than anything I've ever felt before. Even worse than migration headaches. [And those are usually just lies he makes up to tell Laurent, but other times they're...kind of real. Kind of. As in they only exist when he already has a headache to begin with, he's just renaming them.]
(video)
Anyway. Topic change. ] Something's not right here. I think mother- [ No, wait, her mother was dead, wasn't she? Back at a camp, she came in stretchers and... ] Robin- [ There's also memories that she has in Ylisse, spending time with Robin, but calling her mother. ] ... Mother [ She makes a point to think of Robin as she says that. That's who her mother is, right? ] was also getting these headaches...

[Action]
He should be asleep—he wants to be asleep in the relative safety of the dorm—but the growing pressure in his head is making sleep almost impossible. He browses the network on a whim, and sees the broadcast and watches it with concern and growing anxiety that's not his. He hasn't been as cut-off from the network as Yarne has been—knows about the growing revelations that maybe they're experiencing memories that aren't quite theirs, but that certainly doesn't change how he feels. He still has to sort through the implanted memories and decide what parts of what he remembers are real and what aren't. It's harder than it should be. Because some things he wants to be true. He doesn't want to remember a world on fire, because he's seen enough of that in his too-short childhood, but he does want to be able to remember having a mother—of searching and finding her again. He wants her to be his, because there's such a large part of him that remembers never having one. But it's becoming obvious that was pretty damn false too.
Part of Shinjiro—the part of him that's still completely himself—knows he should probably go out after him, since it's obvious now who has his memories. It's something he's dreaded for awhile. But he doesn't want to. It's dangerous. It's not safe out there and he knows it because he's been out there more nights than he can count. But he's also afraid of it, even if he understands that this fear of dying, of being the last one is a probably a foreign emotion, because it clashes with so many of the things he remembers.
But he makes himself get up. He exists out of the dorm like a shadow, to head to where Yarne is. He recognizes it. He shouldn't be too hard to find. He can make it that far.]
Re: [Action]
...Thinking too long on it only gives him another headache, lets a strange monster get a good slash at him before Yarne retaliates and finishes him. There.
He’s finishing up this newest threat when he hears Shinjiro approach. He may not be human, he may not be entirely in a Taguel state of mind at the moment, but he can’t turn off his hearing. He turns and holds his axe out in a threatening gesture, watching the alleys for the source of the footsteps.]
...Who’s there?
[He wants it to be help. Deep down he's scared, and he wants to run...but he stays, because that's not him. Right? ...Another surge of pain, and he has to lower his weapon. Tch.]

Look. [He says, voice far from its normal, level timbre, eyes darting around like he expects something—anything—to jump out at him.] We need to talk.

...Shinjiro Aragaki? Right? [Oh, gods, that's not his name, it's my name...] That's...we...you...I...what's going on?

Normally this would be a coincidence, since Minako isn't that uncommon of a name, but after her talk with Atsuro, she's pretty sure she knows what's going on here. And she's going to have to run the weirdest damage control of her life.
She settles on a bright smile.]
Hello! Were you looking for me?
[But her real question is, just which of Shinji's personal memories does this stranger have...?]
video;
No! I wasn't looking for you. You're not...real. Right?
[He lets out a pained gasp and has to lean against the wall. He's never had a headache this bad before, and it's making it hard for him to focus. He knows her, but...how? There are so many gaps in his memory...]
I'm not sure.
video;
I'm real, and so are the memories you have. They just actually belong to someone else.
video;
Are you getting these headaches, too? Or are your memories fine?

[She'd been confused by some of her memories lately, but she definitely remembers this guy. And petting his very soft ears. And while the memory surrounding him is a little vague, she's positive he's a friend. And he looks like he could use some help.]
Are you okay? It's too dangerous to be fighting demons all on your own.
Video
[There's a bit of an annoyed scowl as he regards this woman...nope. He doesn't recognize her at all. He sighs, forces himself to relax a bit...snapping isn't going to help his problem any.]
Who the hell are you?
Video
[She knows she's met him before. She remembers it so clearly. Except.... where? When? Her head is starting to hurt.]
Um, have we met somewhere...before?
Re: Video
No. I've never met you before, but you seem to recognize me. Where from?
