[Ah, the wonders of Outside World technology. This is actually quite convenient.]

I've just moved into Pisces, so I thought I ought to introduce myself. My name is Alice Margatroid. I specialize in dolls, magic, and doll-related magic.

These apartments are certainly convenient and well-furnished, but they're not very homey, are they? I suppose it's inevitable when you put this many people in the same place.

I don't know. I haven't seen anything like it in use. The closest is Persona, but they look more like powers than magic.

If such powers exist, then why not magic?

Yeah, that makes sense. I just come from a place where magic is flat out denied. It's something people outgrow when they turn ten or so.

But even then, you can't be absolutely sure it doesn't exist, can you?

If it did, I would think someone would have been able to prove it by now.

But if it could be proven, would it really be magic?

But if it still defies the laws of physics, what else could someone call it?

The principles behind it aren't especially complex, but it can be a difficult art to master.

I have to agree with you about the apartments, I am used to having a lot more space.

It's not so much the amount of space as it is the idea that I'm in a building with fifty other places exactly like this one.

Nothing in particular, I suppose, but it's still a far cry from a home I've been living in for years.
