On the way to Sagittarius, Shura is checking the messages of the anon topic on her COMP, not paying attention to her surroundings, and trips as she gets off the tram. The content of her school bag spills on the floor of the busy station. Help her up? Point and laugh? Walk over her to get to school?

A large man, looking kind of rumpled, kneels down to pick up some of her books and hand them to her.

"Here."

He looks pretty tired, but at least his hair is decent today. Johnny's fault.

"Thanks." Shura gets up and out of the way of other commuters before taking her things back. "Aren't you one of the bouncers at the club? You should get some sleep..."

"Yeah, I am. So are you, though."

He tilts his head slightly in the direction they need to be going. "Come on, we're going to be late."

Otoha reflects for a moment on how much this looks like some dumb cliche anime or drama and then discards it. "Haven't been to school in about eight years, so this should be... interesting."

"... you're going to school too?" She hurries to follow him after picking up her pencils.

"My uh... friend... decided it would be fun to basically force me to take some tests to see where I was when he first brought up the idea of school. And I'm kind of..."

He chuckles a little, slowing down slightly to allow for Shura. "... I got through high school because my brother was the leader of the local yakuza group. Even then, I barely scraped by. I didn't care, really."

Now though... maybe he should try to care? It's weird, thinking of going to school again. "This place is for dropouts and stuff too. I didn't exactly not graduate school, but with the amount of stuff I know from school I might as well have never gone."

Shura caught up with Otoha and nodded at his story. "I hope it'll help you. As for me, the world ended before I finished school, so I kind of dropped out? It's been a while since then..."

"I wonder if we'll be in the same class for some stuff?"

"... Makes sense." That would kind of disrupt schooling, yeah.

"Maybe. I tested into second year. What about you?" ... He's more just surprised he didn't test lower.

Shura gets her results out of her shirt pocket. "I'm in third year except for maths and history, where they put me in second year... and I also gotta take a home economics class, apparently." She makes a face. Balancing budgets and sewing, ugh.

[bakegarasu]

"... I know some basic maths, but I'm not sure if I can keep up with the class. I always fell asleep in history." As for home economics, he winces. "That... sucks. I haven't even looked at my schedule."

He probably should do that. Eh. Later.

"You should. Classes'll gonna start soon... with History to boot."

"I never saw the use for most classes."

Like any other school, I suppose, only there's more students involved. That's how it works in America. I'm not familiar with the Japanese school system.

Senri had been been just passing by in his daily explorations of the city when he saw her fall. He immediately moves to offer her a helping hand, picking up all of her things very carefully.

"Hey, thanks." Shura takes the offered hand to get back up, then crouches down to help the man pick up her things.
