{ Someone else is feeling under the weather. Dagger woke up this morning with a cough and a desire to stay in bed. Thus forgive her if she sounds stuffy and/or her words are punctuated with a cough or two. }

I know this might sound silly...

But does anyone know a good story? It doesn't have to be long. I just... { A sigh. She's feeling homesick today on top of being sick. } I don't know. I feel a little sad today.

[Don't mind the odd voice, it just appears in your head more then hearing it...somehow.]

I KNOW QUITE A FEW STORIES IF YOU WOULD CARE TO HEAR ONE.

What kind of story are you looking for?

[As in. Is she looking for life stories or a good e-book?]

[Oh, she knows that stuffiness and that cough. She knows it all too well. Not afflicted at the moment, but...]

Yeah, I know a few from home if you want to hear them. They're more like old legends though, and some of them don't even have endings.

What kind of stories do you like? My brother has the most amazing library just full of stories.

Like... a life story, or something fictional? [He sounds curious, but happy to help. Then he inhales, noting her coughs.]

Hey... are you okay?
trainwrecking: (one of these things is unlike the others)

I guess I would be bad at telling a life story... uhhhm. [Oh, har har, dead people can't tell recent life stories. He thinks for a minute. Oh!]

Maybe a story about the Guild? But first—

Make sure you take some Vitamin C and keep hydrated, okay..? You sound sick. [He may be without his memories, but his doctoring, mothering tendencies come naturally anyway.]

Adventures... well, I can think of someone who has had lots of those. The story starts on a distant planet. The planet was dying, and quickly. A pair of scientists desperately tried to save the planet, but realizing they were too late, they placed their infant son in a spaceship and sent him away, hoping he would land somewhere safe.

It landed on a farm on the planet Earth. The farm belonged to a very kindly couple that had longed for a child and decided to raise him as their own. And they taught him to be kind to others and protect the innocent. And when it became obvious he wasn't like other children, to use those powers wisely.

[For Haseo, it's less "not taking care of oneself" and more "backlash from power overuse". It's all the same when you're actually sick, though.]

All right. Hmm, let's see...Right. [She clears her throat.] So. On my world, there are eight main gods. The Eight Gods of Caerleon Medb, they're called. Now, a lot of this information's been lost to history, but they say that beyond the Eight, there's one more deity. A kind of over-deity, I guess, known only as "the Will of the World."

Back a couple millennia or so, I guess, the Will was kept in a deep slumber and not allowed to wake up or keep the world in order. As a consequence, the Eight Gods ran wild, acting more like demons and wreaking havoc on the world. One day, a mystic and allies traveled to where the Will was trapped in its slumber. Though it took great time and effort, and the sacrifice of one of the mystic's allies, eventually the Will was awoken.

[There's a chuckle.]

Not much of a story, is it? The funny thing is that a cathedral outside my home town is said to have had a statue of the Will on its altar, once. It's gone now, so who knows for sure?

[She is in luck; Riku happens to like them too and had time to read a few during his down-time in February.]

I might know one or two.

[Insert text file with some adventure titles + author that his mun is too lazy to make up on the spot?]

All stories have some sort of truth to them. An idea, if not events.

But it is a story that happened.

bladedskies: (okay now I'm confused too.)

audio wow i'm late

I'm really not sure about any of that. It's just what I remember from the ruin runs with Mom and Dad. I guess your theory about it being a ruler might be correct - it'd explain why the Eight Gods went nuts without the Will around. Also the story did say that the Will was kept in a slumber, implying that there was some kind of force opposing it.

Gender? I'm actually not sure. If that darned statue was still around in the cathedral, it wouldn't be a mystery.
