Hmm? How so? Focusing on your own lot in life can't be a terrible way to live, can it? A lot of people do it, and I think most people are motivated to do good things. The actions those people take can't do much harm.

Focusing on oneself isn't bad, but it can lead to being short-minded and forgetting to account for those that might not be immediately affected. More of a problem of neglect than actual malice.

The same can be said for those that have a broader range of mind, however.

Optimism is always a good thing. And if we're the only ones that can help, then I'm glad a lot of people have chosen to stay here. It reflects well on us.
