I assume you have all educated yourselves on what Philemon's intentions and goals are for this city in his latest charade, or you would not be wasting your time humoring that ludicrous and insipid excuse for literature.

Now, what about Nyarlathotep? Have any of you figured out anything about his plans for this city, or are you more concerned with petty child's play?

I don't know anything about Nyarlathotep's plans, but I assume with how much Philemon tries to screw with our lives, his intentions probably aren't much better.

Let's put it this way... Philemon is supposed to be the "good guy" in this paradigm. Where he is enlightenment, Nyarlathoatep is decay.
Things aren't looking too good.

He can call himself a "good guy" all he wants, as far as I'm concerned they are both only on their own side, with all of us as pawns. The least we can do is resist, even if our situation doesn't look too good.

You're more right than you know; they see us only as tools to settle their own petty score.
With the right attitude and actions, we can resist being pulled into their battle. As far as I can see, the only way for us to win is not to play.

I wouldn't say not play, but play only on your own terms, and try to avoid being turned into a pawn when you do.

You want to change the rules of the game to accommodate your own terms?

It would be nice, if that's ever possible. At the least, it's good to know how to slip in and out. Philemon and Nyarlathotep are still playing around us, and sometime we can use their distraction to our advantage. That may be more dangerous here, since there power isn't strictly earthly.

A fair point. Though their noneartlhy power... it almost seems as if they're aware of everything that happens in the realm of their own games.
But playing them against each other-- I like that idea. More dangerous, but more effective than a stalemate.
