I assume you have all educated yourselves on what Philemon's intentions and goals are for this city in his latest charade, or you would not be wasting your time humoring that ludicrous and insipid excuse for literature.

Now, what about Nyarlathotep? Have any of you figured out anything about his plans for this city, or are you more concerned with petty child's play?

Yeah... I'm not really interested in that kind of thing. War's too big for me! One fight once in a while is fine, but anything more than that is scary.

Not really. The public school system leaves something to be desired.
We weren't thrown out into war pits, [whatever those were] but I learned more through independent study than I ever did in my classroom.

It'd turned out he was hiding in plain sight the whole time.
It wasn't our actions that uncovered him; he simply chose to present himself to us. Likely so he could gloat.

If you want to look at it that way, then yes; in the traditional sense. Of course it's more complicated, but I don't expect everyone to disavow their own patron.

Perhaps you should take a look at what you're preventing them from doing before you do it yourself.

Aside from the obvious. Some of us have little loyalty to any established order. Is there a reason to care one way or another?

That's alright. You've been one of the more intelligent people I've conversed with, so that's already enough assistance.

But I hope you'll be able to find something out in the future regardless.

I want to figure out what kind of game they're playing this time; it's always a game. Though with much higher stakes than they're really allowed to wage if you ask me.

After that, I suppose the next step is making sure neither win with the least damage possible.

The morality of science is certainly a touchy subject.
Regardless, I enjoy learning about the world around me.
But you've got the right idea. Playing between the lines requires a lot more care.
