I assume you have all educated yourselves on what Philemon's intentions and goals are for this city in his latest charade, or you would not be wasting your time humoring that ludicrous and insipid excuse for literature.

Now, what about Nyarlathotep? Have any of you figured out anything about his plans for this city, or are you more concerned with petty child's play?

Hm. No, now that you bring this up, it's entirely possible Nyarlathotep is lurking there was well, unless everyone's completely overreacting.
Doing something like that in an area full of civilians is just asking for a backlash.

I've dealt with them before.
I intend to retain my neutrality.
But the first step is always learning more about your enemy and the situation.
That's my intention.

The Anti-Visitor sentiment, correct?
I've heard a bit about it around town.
I can't really blame the locals for disliking a group of foreigners handed everything on a platter.
But that just goes to show Philemon's gross misunderstanding of humanity.
It's entirely possible Nyarlathotep has been contributing to that sentiment, though I can't say for sure.

Unfortunately, mob mentality is a dangerous and almost impenetrable problem.
People lash out in anger against what they don't understand.
It's disappointing, but not surprising. The only way to combat it is to fight against their own ignorance.

Black-and-white was regrettably never an option to view this conflict in its entirety. It rarely is.

Feasible-- but incredibly foolish. I'm amazed they didn't predict a kind of scandal like this getting out.
If they're trying to be risk-takers, it wasn't a very smart one to try out.
