Okay guys, listen up. I'm sure you've noticed that we've got a SERIOUS PR problem developing. As far as everybody else in town seems to be concerned, we're either celebrities or we're leeches and trouble magnets, and either way the longer we ignore this situation the more we're going to destabilize things. To that end, I think we need to band together and find ways to reach out to the natives, help them realize we're on their sides too. I'd like to propose starting a group to brainstorm ideas, work on PR, and generally work on our outreach. Otherwise, we may end up finding ourselves isolated, and that's not going to work at all.

Right now, though, we need a couple things: a place to meet, and a time. Is there anybody who could offer something like that? Someplace safe... and secure.

How big of a meeting space were you thinking of? Our dormitory has a meeting room that could probably hold 20 people.

I suppose it depends on how many people we can rustle up for this. I suppose twenty is a good start, but I'd have to let you know if it looks like more people showed up.

Of course. If we really get things organized we'll probably need to find a different building as a permanent HQ, anyway.

Right. I just hope we can get some interested people. Honestly, we should've thought of this sooner.

It wasn't really obviously needed until just now. But I think it's a good idea to be more organized as a group in general. We're all "Visitors," but we don't really know each other.

Right. And I think, frankly, the alliances we make with each other are going to be much more important in the days ahead.

This sounds like a great idea. Let me know when and where the meeting will be once you've figured things out.

[She has Ideas about this. If something that requires a mass opinion is needed, the more options there are the better.]

I would like to be involved in these meetings. I have some experience with negotiations and the like. [Though his resources are far more limited in Hinoto-Ri.] If we can avoid hostility in the city, it will do everyone good.

Excellent. The more help we can get, the better. Either way, we need to do something.

"My ship is secure. There is an area with no windows and I believe I have checked it thoroughly for bugs when it was brought here."

Excellent. How many people should be able to meet there?

"There are no mecha in the hangar, so 100 or so people can fit in there. However I recommend fewer than that."

Great! It shouldn't be much more than that. I'll try to rally up some folks. We may need to discuss some... side issues while we're discussing the main ones.

"Side issues? Well, I'll get to moving things to the launch tubes to have space ready."

Side issues. We'll talk things over more later.

"Understood. The ship is in the park, you can't miss it."

[Sasha looks very visibly nervous on the video feed today.]

I heard some things when all those people were clustered around... I'd like to come to this meeting when it's established, even if I don't really know what I could contribute. At the very least, I could take the minutes of the meeting down.

The more, the merrier. We need to get as many heads together as possible on this. I know I'd certainly welcome you there.

I can't offer space but... I'm pretty good at making people feel at ease.

I saw... If you'd like to help, I'd more than welcome it. Although we'd probably want to keep your, um, regular job on the down-low. No offense to you in the slightest, but people seem jumpy at even the slightest suggestion our presence is less than healthy.

I can go full blown grandma if needed. That's about as harmless as it gets.

[She isn't sure she can help with PR - it's never exactly been something she's worked on before but... she doesn't want the public getting angry with her and her friends and pushing them out, so to speak. Maybe there's something else she can do to lend a hand]

I agree completely. Things have gotten entirely out of hand with the local population lately and, without a proper voice to speak out to them, we have no way to turn that around.
