[When the video feed comes on, you might all recognize a very famous looking face appearing on your screens. One Yosuke Hanamura has got his COMP on his wrist aimed at his face, and he looks... terribly deep in thought about something. Concerned, even. And, for a change of pace, he seems to have actually posted to the entire public network.

This isn't just a message for the visitors, this is a message for all of Hinoto-Ri, one he's sure people are going to look at because of his mini-celebrity status. Boy it must be important.]

You know I've been thinking about some stuff ever since we got here. Things have been so crazy recently that I wasn't even able to realize it before but now that we've had some time to catch our breath and stop and think about what's been going on...

[He isn't going to say it out loud because he gets the feeling it's kind of taboo to mention them in public like this, but he's been thinking about what the Anoli said.... about the government hiding the fact that the outside world isn't what they say it is.]

I've been here for almost six months now and I feel like such an idiot for not noticing this sooner, and to be honest I'm wondering why the hell nobody else noticed it either. But guessing that we really are in a city that's been completely cut off from the outside world-- an outside world that's supposedly destroyed and totally in ruin... How is this place running as smoothly as it is?

I mean we're still getting fresh produce coming into the stores every single day, we've got energy powering all of the buildings, and new products coming in on shelves. This town doesn't have any farms, or any factories for processing food, it's too small for factories to build most of the stuff that we even get coming in. I mean even if there is a factory or two around, like in the Cancer district or whatever, they'd run out of materials pretty damn fast if they weren't getting regular shipments of plastics and metals and whatever else.

[Yosuke shakes his head in frustration.]

This place runs like the world economy is still a thing that exists out there... if the whole damn world is gone, how can that even be possible? Does anyone know what the hell is going on? I have a bad feeling that we're getting some serious misinformation here...

[It seems like this teenager has stumbled onto a stroke of genius after all.]

Glitches... I mean, if this is a whole other universe, things might not work the same as back home either way... No matter what, we might not be able to know for sure, right?

I'll keep that in mind, though... I just wonder what everyone's whole underlying goal is in all of this. In us being here, in the city helping us out like this, in the Anoli fighting them back...

Huh... Yeah, you're probably right... If they have something to hide, they're gonna keep us from looking outside.

Well, if they don't have anything to hide, we'd be able to push them into letting us check it out, right? If we put enough pressure on them, it would be too suspicious of them not to let us check it out.

[A few people decided it'd be better to meet up with him than to try and continue over the network, after all. It was a lot more convenient in getting the message across, though it was certainly less efficient...]

It all seems a little complicated.... I mean normally the government wouldn't be in charge of distributing resources at all, right? It'd all be done by the people buying and selling... you know, the economy or whatever.

But resources have to be tighter in this situation since the world's supposedly over... So they're kind of forced to pick and choose where they go. I definitely think they're funneling it to the wrong place, especially since we don't... really have to be here...

We could try... It just might take some more complicated planning. I'd talk to Naoto about it more, she's the one who knows about this kind of sneaky undercover detective work. Maybe we can come up with something? I mean, either way it shouldn't be too hard to get close to the government, they're more willing to let us get near them than the Anoli...

[Yosuke sighs and just glares daggers at his wristwatch.]

I'm just wondering how it got scrambled... or who did it? The Seven wouldn't be against us finding out what's going on, and this doesn't seem like something the mayor would even catch wind of or pay attention to... I wanna know who's really running this city.

[Ergh... the government would have some nerve scrambling it like this... *Hyun-ae seemed convinced that it wasn't an outside force causing it, though, that instead it was something internally wrong with his COMP. Maybe she just didn't know any better.]

That might be possible, yes. But if we wanted to be the most effective, it would work in our favor to form a group that will keep that pressure up enough to force the issue. It's always easier to get people to pay attention with more support.

Well, yes, if this is a different universe, there may be different rules, but there are still rules.

And if those rules sometime work and sometime don't, that could be indication of programming conflicts.

I thought our objective was to protect this place though. Isn't that what the Philemon guy asked of us?

"I figure that first they cut off your communication and isolate you, then have a talking to you about letting information like that out. I've seen governments do it in the past. Though I could just be being paranoid."

Maybe it's more plausible than I thought... But we can go home whenever we want to? What does that mean? They just unplug us and let us go on our way or something? It doesn't completely add up...

But maybe it's a good idea to keep it in mind. Maybe you can explain more details if how it worked in your world?

Wha- AAH! [Yosuke jumps terribly, nearly falling over when Chie jumps out. He turns around quickly, holding the Magician card in his hand, about ready to summon his Persona.]

That's not a bad idea... I just hope the government doesn't try to pin us as radicals or terrorists. We might not be doing anything wrong but if we keep pushing touchy topics they could get mad... we might have to go about this in a roundabout way.
