Greetings, everyone. I apologize for the delay in introductions. I saw that everyone else was making video introductions over the network, and I just wasn't sure whether or not to make one myself. Anyway, I am Ludwig Beilschmidt. I look forward to seeing the rest of you around town.

[He shifts a little bit in his seat.]

One thing before I close the feed. Can you please tell me about your Personas? I would like to know for future strategic considerations. My Persona, Siegfried, appears as an armored warrior who specializes in physical attacks and lightning-element skills. It renders me immune to physical attacks, which is a definite plus, but it seems to be weak to fire. So, if you are in need of some good physical or lightning-element support next time you train, let me know and I will help you.

[Welp that was grand, not to mention embarrassing. Let's try again. Ryuusei quiets himself and clears his throat.]

Bi-el-sch-midt-san...[sigh] Please excuse me, I'm not used to say foreign names. I'm Ryuusei Sakuta, but Ryuusei is fine. Umm, my persona is Kamaitachi. A triplet of flying weasels.

[Yes, he said flying weasels with a straight face.]

They're, well, I guess they're physical type that specialize in wind. They absorb wind and are weak to earth. I hope I can be of help to you in the future.

I understand. I have a Japanese friend back at home, and even after all these years, he still sometimes has trouble saying my name.

Absorb wind, weak to earth... Hmm. It seems I'm not able to compensate for your weakness with my Persona. However, I will keep those in mind in the event we end up in battle together with someone else.

[Personas... well.]

Epona is good with physical attacks, light attacks, and earth attacks... but she's bad with ice. She doesn't seem to be affected by anything that tries to make things afraid of them, though.

I see... that's a good spread of elements. And a resistance to fear... that would most certainly come in handy. If we encounter any enemies that like to use fear-inducing abilities, you'd be a great help.

I'd be happy to help. I'm used to fighting.

That's definitely a plus. Some people here have no fighting experience, so all they can do is rely on their Personas. That makes them a slight liability.

I mostly fight with my sword, but I also have a bow and arrow I use a lot - or my bombs. I've got other weapons too.

[He listens and nods.] You're skilled with many weapons... that's a rarity in this day and age. Then again, you presumably don't come from "this day and age," do you. Your ability to fight without your Persona will undoubtedly make you a valuable asset.

N... no. I'm having a hard time with a lot of this stuff. It's really different than what I'm used to.

But I can help people with fighting.

I'd imagine you would. Even I need to get used to some things, and I come from a big city that's something like this.

Perhaps sometime we could fight together and practice using our Personas.

Ah, really? I'd like that.

[He's never really... fought alongside anyone. It would be nice.]

Yes... we could meet in Capricorn one night, or explore the Mictlan... though I'd prefer to wait a bit on the Mictlan.

I don't think it's safe to go in there till we have a better handle on our Personas. I hear it's crawling with monsters, no matter what the moon phase is...

... So were a lot of the dungeons I went to.

But if you have an ability, shouldn't you practice it a bit before you dive into completely avoidable trouble? You don't want to get stuck in a tight spot and not have it as an option.

... I guess.

[He doesn't look too convinced, though.]

What do you mean, "I guess?" Better safe than sorry.

I'm used to just being thrown into situations where I've had to use new weapons.

Well, in this case, your Persona is your new weapon. It seems to be the most effective way of dealing with Shadows, from my experience.

I'll have to go out and see. I haven't gotten much use with it yet. This place is so big I keep wearing myself out during the day.

Have you been exploring the city? That's good. It's good to get an idea of where you might be fighting. But you ought to pace yourself better... wearing yourself out is never a good idea.

Even the dungeons I went to weren't this big. The towns were tiny compared to this.

I'd imagine they were. This place is almost as big as the city I come from.
