Hello. My name is Naoto Shirogane. I thought I would at least introduce myself over the network. I'm afraid I still have quite a bit to learn about this place but what I do know so far has been quite intriguing. The method of accessing the network is a bit unique as well...

I'm curious so if you would indulge me for a moment... How many of you were familiar with the term 'persona' prior to coming here? Also, who was familiar with the term in the context of using it to describe the power that people gain here?

Yes. I'm not quite sure how it works for anyone else familiar with this power, but... in my world, defeating your Shadow the only way to obtain one.

To be honest, I can't say that I could accurately answer that. For my friends and I the purpose we utilized it for was to enter another world and rescue people who were trapped there. Also to seek out the culprit behind a murder case.

However I imagine the use of this ability varies tremendously. I saw that in my home world as well.

I did hear about that. I also recall reading bizarre case files from that area in general. I assume those were related. I had no idea Shadows were involved at the time, of course.

It wasn't really widespread knowledge... I don't think very many people knew about Shadows, so to make that sort of explanation public would have been a little... problematic.

Yes. Your Persona first manifests as a Shadow that takes your appearance. If you successfully tame it, it will then become your actual Persona that you can control.

It's the same in my case as I well. The murder case we were investigating had to do with Shadows but I suspect no one but us knows that truth.
