[ACTION - A Seedy bar somewhere in the Taurus district]

[A few days in this town and Natsuki was relatively sure that wherever here was, it wasn't the underworld, and she likely wasn't dead. But she still has a lot of questions about this town and why she was brought here, so, knowing little else what to do, she acted on instinct. A few hours before the curfew she found the seediest bar in the Taurus district that she could lie her way into and plopped herself down in a dark corner, watching to see if there was anyone who might look remotely helpful. Knowing that many of these people will be gone due to the curfew in a few hours, she decided to play around with this watch, to see if she could get anyone in the same situation as her to come talk more on her terms. After a bit of fumbling through a horrifying few seconds on Teen Beat's Comp site, she managed to get the watch to start up an audio feed.]

[VOICE]
"If anyone is willing to fill me in with info about this city, I'm sitting in the back of this bar. I'll be here as late as they'll allow me. Come find me."

[He shrugged.]

Maybe, maybe not. Think about it. There's nothing else but this city, supposedly. You're going to want to defend it as much as possible and make sure it thrives, aren't you? Besides, after a while, the population's going to dwindle if there isn't fresh blood, so there's that too.

It might be a lie, it might not be, but if it is, the lie makes sense based on what can be scene.

[Natsuki snaps back an answer, her voice a bit louder than what would be appropriate for the setting.

Then they should find people who are willing to help them!

[Natsuki pauses a bit, looking around as the bar returns to normal from the silence that comes when people yell in crowded bars. Closing her eyes and folding her arms, she continues.]

Just because they brought us here isn't reason enough for us to solve their problems. They have to know that.

[Johnny didn't comment on the outburst, letting her calm down a bit before he responded.]

They're politicians, they don't necessarily have the best intentions for anyone but who they serve. That's why they give us money and housing and jobs and hope we're comfortable enough here to defend it.

Besides, from what I understand, not everyone here is a persona-user and, to me, that sounds like the key here. Everyone who they pull here has one.

[Natsuki looks at Johnny quizzically for a moment.]

Persona? Those monsters that they were fighting with in the arena? How broad of a definition do they put on what one is?

[He nods and folds his arms on the table's surface.]

Yeah, those. Strictly from what I've observed and from asking around, it seems they're something that represents the person.

My friend was known by a crow where he comes from, his persona is a big crow-god or something of the sort.

[Natsuki thinks for a bit about this.]

Hmm. So he didn't have one before? But does now? Was he able to use magic to summon creatures before he came here?

[Johnny shrugged and leaned back in his seat.]

Definitely didn't have one before, as far as I know he didn't have any summoning abilities. He said he was a protector back in his home but it wasn't anything like what 's here. Plus, he still can't do whatever it was he did then here.

[Natsuki looks a little suprised and a little worried by the last thing Johnny said.]

He lost abilities when he came here? Were you able to do anything special before you came here?

[He looks surprised by her concern and answered as though it's no big deal.]

Well, sure, but I can still do them all.

Mind if I turn the same question on you?

To be honest, I haven't tried it yet. I'm not sure if the mark still works here.
