Did anyone here ever have the questionable pleasure of running into themselves?

That...sorta happened for a while in our world. It was related to Personas, so I was worried it might be happening here...

Well, I guess there's no need to keep it a secret here...

[Plus she's blabbed about it repeatedly anyway.]

The short version is there was this place inside TV sets where if a person went there, all their hidden doubts and self-loathing and things they didn't want to admit to would come out and talk to them. Our "Shadows". Since they were parts of us that spent so much time being rejected, they got pretty violent when we didn't listen to them...a couple of people died, and that's when Senpai and the others started going in and rescuing people.

[...The doubts and loathing of person come real? Well... all in all, those Shadows attacking who they belonged with makes sense to Riku - denied Darkness tends to fester, tends to become consuming at some point - he certainly can tell a story or two of that himself.

What reasons were there to keep it secret at your home world?

[Wouldn't it make more sense to warn everyone else of the Shadows? Especially if people had gotten killed by them?]

Well, mostly, no one would believe it if they hadn't seen it for themselves. Most people can't go into the world where Shadows exist unless they're put there by someone who already has a connection.
