There is a question to be asked.

Hatred and Love is viewed in equal measure. Humans normally say love is worth more. In recent months, I have seen media that espouses that love will always succeed over hatred. Hatred is inferior. It sustains only the self, but it is like poison also. Pure intentions become twisted, revenge distorts the mind and morals, and eventually hatred destroys the individual...

I must admit, this confuses me. I have observed no such things in humanity before. Ah, the corruption, yes, but hatred has sustained and protected humans as much as it has poisoned them. It is usually love that brings about self-destruction, as they hold another's life higher than their own.

So, I have always viewed hatred and love being of equal measure. They are different, yet powerful in their own right. It is like that saying, what, pears and lemons? Apples and peaches? Whatever.

So my question is thus: what do you think is more powerful or more important? Hatred or Love?

Some would say selfish, I would say preserving one of the greatest scientific minds in the universe. To let such potential be snuffed out before it can be properly utilized would be nothing short of a tragedy.

For a time? Apocalypses and Armageddon are never as fatal as people say they are. They are only ever temporary.

Quite temporary indeed. A few hundred years - not very long at all, really.

Ah, but to humans, a few hundred years are ancient indeed. Their lives are woefully short, and very fragile.

Given how irksome some of them are, I would say "thankfully" short rather than "woefully". I couldn't imagine putting up with some of them for as long as I've lived.

I am curious to see what would occur if they lived for a long time, though! Humans are eternally curious, but would their curiosity grow with more knowledge they collect? Or would they be sated and become, well, boring?

A decent question, I suppose, but not one that can really be answered. Given the actions of the older humans I've seen, they would likely become boring. Or increasingly cantankerous and irritable.

Cantankerous and irritable? Ah, yes, the older the get, the less tolerable they become. I always attributed that to the pain of getting older, though... they are very fragile beings you know.

I'm all too aware, yes. And really, as intolerable as they are now, I don't think they need any lifespan lengthening. More the opposite, really.
