[Action - Ichiban Market, Virgo District]

[It's been a few days since the market from home appeared in Hinoto-Ri, and Nano's taking full advantage of the convenience and familiarity of the location. She spends a good few hours shopping around for various ingredients and household necessities, filling up her shopping bags with soy sauce, daikon radish, leeks, miso, rice, and all sorts of other ingredients common to traditional Japanese meals. Feeling very at ease here in a place that's almost second nature to her, she hums cheerily to herself while she's collecting everything.

Unfortunately, after she's paid for everything and is carrying everything out in a large brown paper bag, her nice casual shopping trip takes a turn for the worse. Right after emerging from the store, and completely without warning, Nano's left arm falls completely limp. She lets out a surprised yell as the grocery bag goes tumbling from her arms, its contents spilling out all over the sidewalk. Immediately recognizing something as deeply wrong, Nano glances around quickly and starts to scramble to pick everything up with her one good arm.]

[Eventually Nano makes it home, and after no small amount of privately worrying and panicking, she turns on the COMP to reach out for some help. It's not help she particularly wants to ask for, but she has no idea what's wrong or how to fix it on her own. She's doing her best to hide the fact that one arm is completely out of commission, aiming the shot at her face only.]

U-um... I hate to impose, but is there anyone out there who knows a lot about fixing things? My, um...

[She glances around the room briefly before returning her gaze to the camera.]

My television is broken!

[ ...she seems nervous, but he's taking it in stride anyway ]

What seems to be the problem?

[ qurl he has a robotic arm as well this sort of stuff is stuff that wasn't unexpected, beyond her lying about what she needed fixed. ]

I... don't know. It's broken.

[ He seems to be outright just considering.

He also has no problem with this, while standing right in your doorway still, Nano. ]

Mm-hmm...

[Nano nods, shuffling sideways to let him in.]

But aren't you surprised?

[He's the first one who hasn't told her to go to the hospital, or that he's not a doctor, or something like that first.]

[ He moves in, and thinks about it for a second- It'd made sense, because obviously she had a reason to ask for a repairman and not a doctor, and he was also used to the concept of robotic limbs.

Given, he wasn't aware she was a robot. ~~What wind up key?~~ ]

... Not very.

[ wait no wrong thing to say??? maybe?????

how fix, oh maybe do this-

He's gonna move to save that fumble by reaching up, grabbing at his right sleeve and tugging

It's a mishmash of wires and metal! Yaaay, roboarm. ]

I-I mean, your arm's like mine. Right? ...Although, it's much better designed, if it is...

[ No exposed wires, after all! And it looked real. he's gonna make another attempt to save his social inability tho ]

...And, besides, I'd think you'd ask for a doctor, if it was a medical issue...

[ He's sort of fumbling the ball here but hopefully you get what he is getting at, Nano. ]

[Well, that was certainly unexpected. Nano stares at Ferrus' arm for a few moments, eyes wide and mouth hanging open in surprise.]

Y-yes...! That's right! Mine is like that too! Except with gears instead.

[ He's okay with being stared at, in this instance. He'll leave his sleeve pulled back- ]

Ah, good!

[ now he won't feel dumb!

...awkward pause before he'll interject ]

Would you like... me to look at it now?

[ he's got some replacement wires and such, but most TVs don't have gears... hopefully, that's not the problem. ]

Ah... yes, please.

[Nano reaches over with her good arm to open up an access panel. There are indeed mostly gears in there, though also terminals with wires running to them that power the gears' motion like a motor. After some looking, the problem appears to be a loose, frayed connection.]

[ He goes to work quickly, mechanical arm examining inside her own - only nudging things so he can see more clearly. When he spots the frayed connection, he nods at it - ]

...It's just a frayed wire.

[ He digs in a pouch for a moment before producing a wire of his own - it's perhaps not exactly the same looking (given the coloration was a spotty dark greyish, for some reason), but he compares the two wires - decides they'll work - and quickly uses his new wire to replace the old one. ]

That should do it.

[Nano looks away while he works, looking for all the world like a child who's trying not to look at the doctor while she's getting a routine vaccination shot. When he's done, she slowly lifts her arm, flexing it at the elbow and wiggling her fingers.]

...It works! Thank you! Thank you so much!

[ Well that was mildly adorable. He seems nonplussed by her actions while he fixes her arm - and her excitement at being fixed earns a smile, under his mask. ]

...It's no problem. I-I'm glad to help.

[ happy childrenbots... ]

I'm so relieved... that's never happened to me before.
