Never saw baby dolphins before. Senpai said he'd come with me to see them later, but I'm not sure if you can really do that at all. They probably stay underwater most of the time, right?

Probably, but they would have to come up to breathe, or at least come close to the surface. I bet you could catch a glimpse of them, at least.
