I wish the weather would stop changing so dramatically. It's giving me a headache... literally. I know some places can get unseasonably warm, but this is ridiculous.

Hey, I need you to do me a favor. Can you take Miki out for an afternoon this week? Keep her busy for me?

We need to make sure Miki has a good Christmas this year. I have a plan, but I need your help.

I didn't even think of that. That could easily be the case.

"Ok, so technology is at a level here where weather control is possible. I wasn't sure."

I'm not positive, but it sounds like something they might have up and running here.

"I hadn't found any data on it, but in all honesty there are so many things here I don't have data on its frustrating."

It's a big place. Seems like it would be impossible to know every little thing about it no matter how long you collected data.

"Luckily I am not the kind of person who would find that statement a challenge."

Are you working on some kind of project like that?

"Well, I've been watching the demons in the park at night but really I haven't been up to much of anything at all other than introspection."

Have you seen anything interesting while demon-watching?

"They don't like distortion fields. Other than that I don't know what is routine so I can't say what is interesting."

Worth keeping in mind, anyway.

"Well, I don't know of anything that much likes distortion fields. They tend to disintegrate things on contact."

[He didn't realize that. Not exactly his area of expertise.]

That sounds... painful.

"That's why most creatures react that way."
