Nice to meet ya! My name's Selphie, and I'm from...well, a different world, and then another different world, and now I've wound up here. Funny, huh? So an-y-way... I've only been around for a few weeks and basically...

I need a job so I can eat! I'm a solider back home, and I'm an awesome fighter. But uhm, what else... I can play a coupla instruments, and I sing. I know how to look after chocobos... I can fly spaceships and I can do little fix up jobs, kinda like mechanics!

*Selphie lists each of these career options off on her fingers, and pauses on another*

I'm super hard working and I always try my best at everything I do but... I'm totally clumsy so a waitress probably isn't the best idea...

*For the first time, there's the tiniest shadow of self-doubt on her face, but it disappears almost in the instant that it's there and she grins*

Basically, in addition to the friendly demons, there are less friendly monsters that sometimes attack the local population and us guests, as well as alleged anarchist terrorists called the Anoli. There's only been one real problem since I personally got here, but it got pretty dangerous...

Then sure - I'd do everything I could to keep everyone safe. No problem!

I'm glad to hear it. There are a few other people from various military organizations here. If you need any kind of combat support, I think Lieutenant Commander Hoshino is open to the idea...
