[This...is going to be a problem.]

[He was curious, really, to hang around until the 13th hour came along, and had been quite shocked by the enormous amount of monsters hanging around. So shocked that he was quite unprepared for when they started attacking- he thought he'd find a way to avoid them, honestly. And just when he was cornered...it had finally come out. His Persona.]

[And honestly, he wasn't too surprised. Not even scared, really, he's seen worse. His Persona is himself, isn't it? But this would pose a problem if he showed it to other people, because that would be going and showing them something very deep and personal that might turn them against him. No, he has to turn this into an advantage, a way to get people to pity him and go on his side.]

[And he knows exactly how to get that to happen.]

[The video turns on, and the first thing one hears is the rather terrified and stammering voice of one (1) Sam Erstwhile.]

This-this is really not okay! I mean, it's my birthday today, I really didn't need this as a birthday present!

[The guy seems to be on the verge of fainting, he's so pale. It's oddly dark behind him, even though it's morning...]

I-I...listen, is it possible to just refund a Persona? That's possible, right? Because...mine is a freakin' abomination, and I'm not really sure I want it. How come all of you get the cool ones and I get the one that looks like it feeds on little kid's nightmares??

[And then the darkness behind him moves, and what looks to be like a dark tentacle rests on Sam's shoulder. Sam shudders, letting out a slight whimper, as the skull-like face of his Persona drops down into view.]

[Looks like Sam wasn't kidding about that abomination stuff at all.]

They said having a Persona was a good thing. They said you'd love it, and that it'd help you, and...ugh, this isn't what I was expecting at all!

[And he buries his face in his trembling hands. He really looks like he's going to have a nervous breakdown over this.]

Happy birthday to me...

*Selphie heard the word 'birthday', and that was enough to gain her interest and excitement - birthdays meant parties and fun and presents! But instead...she's faced with someone who looks like he really isn't enjoying his birthday.

Her smiles fades, and is replaced by a look of gentle concern. As his Persona looms into view, though, Selphie can't help but give the smallest of grins*

Hmm...no offense, but your guy there is kinda creepy...

Um...[Have a very concerned look. She wants to make him feel better...but how do you do that when it looks that creepy?]

At least..it'll protect you? I mean...it seems nice enough! Even if it's a little creepy...

[Brainstorm has no sympathy, despite being in a similar boat.]

Tough luck, guy. If there was a way to refund the damn things, I'd be first in line. You're just gonna have to deal with it.

And do you believe everything you hear? [Shinjiro grimaces, eying Sam's persona through the feed.] Personas are a tool, that's it. You use it or don't, but once you got it, you're stuck with it. Ain't no going back.

[If only getting rid of it were that easy.]

And here I was expecting a wounded puppy.

[Viridi's voice is very comforting and reassuring, she's sure.]

Someone's soul has some issues. Maybe you should go see a psychiatrist.

Oh, um... w-wow! [It's reallllly hard to hide how freaky that is.] That's- something else, really...

A- At least it looks really- strong? [Must... stick... to the positives! ... oh, darn it all.]

... It's probably really freaky to happen on your birthday, though. Is- is there anything I can do? We- can do something for your birthday! Without Personas or anything like that!
