[When the video starts, Link's standing outside his building, staring up at the snow. He looks a little worried at it all, and pulls his tunic around himself tighter. He looks over at the COMP, and frowns.]

[His voice is very quiet when he speaks.]

What do you do when you can't sleep? Or when you have nightmares? I'm not sure what to do.

Back home, I would go outside and watch the ocean.

[All things considered that's not really an option here though.]

Hot tea or milk work too, though.

It's no problem! I hope you feel better.

[Well... she can't say this doesn't hit close to home because that would be a lie]

If you can stay with friends, that's what helps me.

I don't know if yours are the same kind of nightamres as mine were but... my friend told me sometimes they go away on their own but he said it takes time.

[He also said sometimes they don't ever really go away entirely but that didn't seem like a good thing to bring up right then]
hope_adjacent: i understand. (anou!!)

Ah! That is a problem.

Hmm, well, whenever she gave me the tea, she offered to let me talk about my thoughts.

Maybe you can vent a little?

Thanks.

If you want to sleep over at my place tonight, you can. I don't mind. I can sleep anywhere, so sleeping on the floor wouldn't be a big deal.

[That statement... sort of startles a chuckle out of him. Because really... Link.]

I guess, it is in a way. The ocean's got salt water though.

[If he ever gets the chance, he should go see it.

Also, sorry, another uhm-ohh-moment here.]

You should have devices in the kitchen for that. [Though now that he thinks about it...] Maybe you should ask somebody about showing you how those work.

[Wouldn't want him to accidentally set the kitchen on fire, right?]

That would be more preferable than missing sleep and suffering from the health issues that are caused by it.

Meditation.

It can do wonders for the mind.

Well...the best way I have to describe it is to concentrate on nothing, or concentrate on one thing you know so well that you don't actually have to think about it. You can turn off your conscious thought that way without actually falling asleep, or go right into sleep when your mind is clear of distractions.

You did? Wow...you must have quite the fun childhood. I know I wasn't allowed to have a treehouse when I was young...

What, really?! Wow...did you ever go to the ground, or were you all up in trees for your whole lives?
