[At this point, Masamune's been mulling over recent events and wondering just what the everliving fuck did he get dragged into. It's only after a bit of contemplation on this that he got frustrated and left his apartment to do some more exploration of this place.

It's not until he ends up at the Arcade that he stops, shrugging. Why not. He could use some semi-mindless entertainment at this point. There's the usual fare, but one game in particular catches his eye, and it's at this point that the feed would start recording proper.

Once set up, Masamune takes his position opposite the screen, banging on something at certain times (probably harder than what is necessary but shhhh this is a good way to get out some pent-up frustration), and then -

literally flipping a table.]

YA-HA!

[He grins wickedly as he watches the game tally up his score and lets out a satisfied huff of air. Aw yis, new distance record.]

If only Sanada were here to see this. Bet he'd be all fired up to try and beat that.

[Okay, that actually gets him to laugh and hush, he doesn't know better yet. The boy's new to this concept of people from different worlds and times still.]

In a sense, but I mean more that it's this huge, long table where a bunch of stuffy old guys discuss micromanagement. [He scoffs a bit, shaking his head.] Still don't get how Kojuro or the old man could stand it.

Ew.

[He wrinkles his nose.]

That sounds really, really, really boring.

It is. But it's one of those things you're expected to do, otherwise everyone gets mad and apparently you make the group you represent look bad as a result.

[At least in his past life he made war council fun.]

That sounds like something Princess Zelda would do. I'm glad I'm not in the Royal Family. It's better just to have her as a friend.

[Link in the future she might be more than a friend, but okay then. I'm just the narration.]

Well, I can honestly say I'm not at the level of royalty, just expected to take over the family business once I'm out of school.

Though this whole "saving the world" thing's gonna put a damper on that, it seems.

Nah, talking more about what I was told when I got here. Back home I'm just a college student trying to make it through.

... What's a college?

Uh - it's a kind of school, I guess. But you don't go there until you're older ... or something like that.

Oh. I've never been to school.

[Okay that oddly explains a bit.]

Haaah? How'd you manage that one?

I grew up in Kokiri Forest. The Kokiri don't age and they don't leave the forest, so it's not like they know much about the outside world - so most of them just learn things in the forest as they need them, and there's no real new information or anything...

Sounds pretty boring to me. And nobody thinks of heading out and doing something other than stay in that forest?

If the Kokiri leave the forest, they die.

[ ..... well that shut him up for a good second while he processed that.]

[He brings a hand to his face, pondering. He then lowers it.]

So you're tellin' me that if you leave, you die.

How come you're standin' here then? [Wait he didn't really seem to include himself in the group when he mentioned the place he grew up ...]

I'm... not really a Kokiri. My mother left me with them when I was a baby before she died.

.... okay that explains that at least.

[And the further this conversation goes, the more Masamune has no idea how to deal with it. And slightly feels like an ass. 8|]

But for what it's worth, sorry for bringing that up.

... It's okay. I didn't know her, so it's kind of hard to be sad about it.

[Though it just makes him think of Saria... which does make him really sad.]

[Masamune shrugs slightly.]

Family's family ... or something like that.

[Though there is a tinge of bitterness in his voice when he says that. In all honesty, he wasn't close to any of his blood relatives save his cousin, Shigezane. Sure, he respected his father, but it was more ... distant was probably the best word for it.]

[He frowns a little, able to pick up on that. Maybe it's better to move on.]

... I'm Link, by the way.

[Probably for the best. Though at the very least, Masamune's expression returns to a more normal one.]

Masamune.

Nice to meet you.

[He grins a little bit, looking back at the game.]

Anyway, you wanna give it a shot? It's pretty simple once you get the basic timing down.

[He's still contemplating another round himself, but he might as well relent at least for the moment.]

Okay!

[He stands in front of the machine, watching the instructions go by. Once it starts, it's pretty clear that his reflexes are good, since he seems to be keeping up the pace pretty well.]
