[video] A formal greeting from the Sagittarius Branch!

Hello, everyone. It's good to see the network in use.

[Still wearing a labcoat and a white shirt was Ideo, bowing to the camera way more elegantly than he probably had to. It was set up so that none of the building behind him was discernible, but those who had been there would probably recognize the lighting as that from the Labs themselves. Which...meant Ideo was still there at 10:30 at night, okay.]

My name is Ideo Hazama- some of you met me during the incident in our Sagittarius labs. First, I would like to thank those who participated in helping us push back the Anoli. We could not have succeeded without your help.

[His smile wasn't long-lasting, of course.]

As for those I have not personally met, I am glad you are here, and it is good to meet you at large. Reiko and I work in the Research and Development labs, and focus specifically on technology in relation to demonkind. She is the expert in demon-related combat, however, so any specific queries about such should be directed to her. My main expertise is demon-related defense, as well as negotiation. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask me any time- I am always available.

If for whatever reason you cannot get a hold of either of us, please direct all questions to our associates- [Here, he motioned his hands, and a foursome of fairies entered the frame.] Hua Po, Chou-keshin, Mid Pixie and Ceu.

[The fairies poofed out of frame after a few waves and blown kisses, all except Ceu, who remained stone-faced and serious looking. Ideo didn't seem to notice.] Thank you for your time, and welcome to Hinoto-Ri.

Hey. Atsuro here.

[They hadn't interacted much, but Atsuro certainly recognizes the person who had given them instructions that first day. ...And the Hua Po, of course.]

How're the labs now? Do you guys still need help patching up any of the damage?

Hello. While I was not involved in the combat to retake your lab, I am glad to see you are running again. I don't suppose you have a data file that can be downloaded to give a primer on these demon's culture, do you?
jundere: (09 - Junexpectedly funny.)

Do you ever leave that lab?

[Honestly curious; maybe he sleeps there? Creepy.]

[Hee, it's Master Ideo.]

It was no trouble at all, Master Ideo, I was merely doing what any other being would have done. [Except if they were part of Nyarly's group, but that goes unspoken. Despite his modest words, Theodore's pretty much beaming with pride.]

I do hope everything has settled as well, with what damages were sustained, and that Master Reiko wasn't injured severely.

:P

Don't be shy and switch to text! It's kinda cute!

...The repairs aren't our fault, are they??

XD

[Ideo staying at the labs so late didn't faze Yamato - in fact, this is perfectly normal to him!]

Yes, I heard some interesting things about you from Ceu. When you are free I would like to discuss something with you.

[Yeah no hello or whatever. Yamato gets straight to the point. He wants to pick your brain]
drakenguard: (bland smile)

[Eh, Yamato actually prefers texting. This is a relief]

Specifically it is about your, shall we say, ambitions of humans being able to contract with demons. I am interested in this. Things are different from my world, as contracted demons are gained through a proxy called the 'Demon Auction'. Have you heard of that?

Interesting. It was publicised to all Demon Tamers in my world, so it is probably safe to assume that it did not exist in yours. They gain a lot of profit from dealing with humans, so there would be little point in keeping it secret from them in certain areas.

How will this contracting between humans and demons in real life work, then? Demons are extremely fickle beings, and usually require a form of tribute or favour to cooperate with the human's demands - and even then, they do not form contracts and are free to leave once the demand is filled.

I can synthesize a terabyte in about 5 minutes, I've spent my whole life going through large data files. However if it would be too hard on your systems I understand.

I would however appreciate any information. Humans culture is complicated enough, an alien race makes things even more complex.
jundere: (37 - Oh my how frightful...!)

Should you not do something about that, then? :P

Get Brainstorm to fix it, maybe?

And then you should work on lying better.

I had some experience with demon contract - I simply wish to know how it is commonly handled here before I attempt it.

Are you sure? If you brought us here to help out, you're welcome to make use of us. It's not like we're short on free time.

...You've probably checked on the DDS prototypes by now, right? They didn't grab any in all the chaos?

I would be happy to offer my aid in this project. It seems useful.

[Yes, very useful - and who knows what information he could glean from someone like Ideo...ahah, even in death Yamato couldn't suppress his natural hunger for this type of thing]

I suppose the difficulty would be on the humans' end when it comes to fulfilling their end of the bargain. They are somewhat squeamish in allowing beings to feed off of them, even if proven to be safe and non-lethal to them in the long run.

I would ask if there was an alternative food source to offer the demons, but it is much more efficient to allow them to feed off of their tamers'. They would have added incentive to ensure their safety.

[The thing about demons is that they're easy to manipulate once you know how they work. Although it would be easier on the human to have an alternative food source, it would be better if they simply allowed the demon to feed off of them - demons are selfish, and they wouldn't allow their sole stable food source to expire under their guard]
