Hey. I need to apologize. When we were under attack, I was too scared to do anything. All I wanted to do was hole myself up in my apartment.

I should be better than that. I'm a pilot. Fear shouldn't stop me from doing what I need to do. And to make matters worse, I took a job with the police. I could have put people in danger by not doing my job.

I understand if you don't want to trust me. All I'll say is that it won't happen twice. Not if I can help it.

Probably that giant monster... I didn't reach it myself, but I heard about the fight. And after that, all the scorpions disappeared.

I should apologize, too... I was holed up in the apartments, trying to help one person, when I should have been doing my best for everyone.

Was it someone extremely important to you? Because if it was, then it's all right. We all have to protect the people we care about.

Yeah... If you don't normally feel that way, then something was wrong. So you were sick. I still wouldn't take the blame for that. I kind of work for the police, too, and they were really understanding to those who were affected.

It's fine. You just need to trust everyone here to have your back when things like that come up. Things turned out all right in the end, Asem, and it's not like you were the only one whose head got messed with.

Don't worry about it. If there's a next time we'll give whatever is causing trouble a butt kicking they won't forget!

How many people were affected? I heard that from somebody else, too.

A lot. From what I saw on the Network it had to do with people's birthdays. Specifically their zodiac signs. Like, everyone who went crazy and attacked people were Scorpios and then the people who were afraid were Aquarius and Taurus and something else. I forget what. It likely had to do with the monster who showed up and wrecked everything casting something over the city.

[Aquarius, Taurus, and something else? Well, Asem was neither an Aquarius nor a Taurus, so it was easy enough to figure out.]

Leo. The third sign was Leo.

But this stuff started before the big monster appeared, right? How does that work?

One of my friends caught it... I noticed some other people acting strange, too. Like, really nervous.

You think it was connected to all the other stuff that was happening here?

It could be anything from the monster approaching or coming into this reality or however it got here to a field it creates to just casting some kind of spell. I wish I knew the specifics, but it sounds kind of like the shadows my team and I fought at home. Shortly before a big one showed up at the full moon, there'd be an increase in a disease called Apathy Syndrome among the populace.

[Only killing those big shadows didn't work so well, did it?]

We'll have to see if there's a next time and if it pans out the same before I can make any concrete theories about it compared to home, though.

Yeah, but- I get the feeling, if she was acting normally, she would have scolded me for not thinking of others...

I didn't know you did anything like that. If this were a month ago, I'd have had a hard time believing it.
