*Odd, you get the notion that Misery didn't exactly sleep well last night. Her eyes seem a little redder than normal, and her hair's tossled.*

Well I'm glad to see YOU all are relaxing so well after that battle. Has it ever occurred to anybody else that if THIS is what happens when the astrological signs turn to Scorpio, then what will happen when we shift over to Sagittarius? Or Taurus? Or, heaven forfend, ARIES? I rather think this is cause for concern, don't you?

Well I for one am not waiting to find out. There's bound to be a way to block these effects, and I for one intend to find it. If anybody finds anything out, tell me. I might even consider giving you a discount on my services.

It only happened once. That doesn't mean there's a pattern.

And yet wouldn't it be safer to assume this will recur rather than to write it off as a simple anomaly?! Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong, but I would much rather be overprepared for being wrong than underprepared for being right!

How do you plan to prepare for something you don't know a lot about?

I'll find a way. Somehow. This effect was caused by something. It can surely be stopped by something else.

I managed to keep one person who was panicking... sort of calm. But with a way too effort-intensive to do with everyone. Not to mention it barely worked on the 23rd...

Precisely. The fear was bad enough, but look at those brainwashed to attack all those nearby due to the effects. That's why we must find a way to deflect this madness as much as we can, preferably before the next sign change. Otherwise, there's no guarantee we'll be left with as many survivors.

Where do we even start figuring that out, though?

We have more than enough people pulled into this mess. I'm sure if we all approach this in our own way, we'll come up with a solution. The sooner, the better I say.

I think we've gotta get everyone to give out their signs so we know what to prepare for. And their special powers, probably.

I detest the notion I am somehow controlled by the day of my birth. There must be some method of deflecting future such incidents.

I've been trying to learn what I can about Zodiac signs. Figuring out the dates isn't hard given that it's one of two systems, and if the issues with Scorpio came to a head this month, it must be the tropical system.

Figuring out anything else that's actually useful, though...

Oh? Well, it's a start, anyway. It will certainly help us predict this nonsense. I'd rather just cut it off entirely, but starting with the little bits will help. To be honest, even if it's just stopping this wretched business with people CHANGING, it's better than nothing.

The effect it has one peoples' personalities is fairly awful...

To say nothing of their apparent desire to help our enemy. No, this is a problem that must be purged as soon as possible.

Sadly I'm not entirely certain you can draw a line from a single point. Also consider nothing happened the month beforehand when we got here. It may take a few more disasters of this sort to understand what's happening, but as soon as I am done analyzing the data from this I'll be glad to share it with you.

By all means, do. It'll help me try to find a way to cut off the effects of future such events. Lord knows that's the last thing ANYBODY wants.

Did you suffer any ill effects? I know I was hassled by the scorpios and scorpions but remained sane, and that the scorpions generally were reduced to paste when they bounced off a distortion field.

Other than a dull headache from the amount of annoyances I had to deal with the entire time? Not so much.

Maybe right before your turn comes around you could drink a shit ton of booze so you can't walk for days? Then you won't pose a threat to anybody.

Does it not remotely bother you that you may lose complete control of your faculties simply as an accident of your birth? This isn't just some silly little game, you know!

I could let it bother me; but who am I supposed to blame for it? It's not like I can hold my mother responsible for firing me out when she did, can I? She's not here, is she?

It's not a matter of blame, you nit, it's a matter of the potential results! You seem awfully laid back for something that could make you do something you don't want to!
