In the end I think an eye for the ability to master my own magic was a trade that ended up entirely in my favor. Permanent disfigurement is hardly as bad as it seems. And I am quite good at scaring small children around this time of year... [He chuckles.]

Sight spells are not as difficult as they would seem. I have experienced blindness - there are areas in which casting magic is difficult, and I have had to fight blind in order to be able to fight at all. But it's thankfully rare.

Well you don't strike me as the kind of guy who would fumble around in the dark when he couldn't see, so can I assume you're okay at fighting blind when you have to?

When I have to, yes.

Why would you need to prove the colour of your eyes?

Those Scorpios affected by this matter temporarily changed eye color to gold or red. My eyes are naturally blue. Therefore, if you saw them, you could be sure that I wouldn't try to kill you without a good reason for it.

Oh I guess I totally overlooked that, but if it helps then I don't trust anybody here not to try and kill me at all.

You're half right; I'd say that Snake was my mutual friend but Junpei probably doesn't share the sentiment much.

Close enough and better than nothing. I'd say I missed some of my own friends, but they've all died recently.
