[Voice]
[She's been here for nearly ten days now. It's very strange, and different. She's not used to feeling this... isolated. Back home, she'd always travelled with Roxas and Axel, and even at Disney Castle it always seemed more... together. If she'd felt lonely, or had a nightmare or something, she could go find one of her friends. Not quite so simple here - the only person she considered a friend she had from home didn't... didn't remember. Not really.
Sure, it was for a good cause, being here. But that didn't mean it was easy.]
It's really strange... there's a lot we have here that we don't have at home, but... there opposite is true too. And...
[Ugh no, this isn't helping. She's probably not even making sense.]
Sorry. I guess I don't know what I'm trying to say.
So... does... anybody have friends they miss who are back home?

Sorry. I guess I don't know what I'm trying to say.
So... does... anybody have friends they miss who are back home?
voice;
I think many of us do, really...
[Meaning yes, yes she does. Her first thought goes to Ven, her little brother, but then there's Master Eraqus, all of her friends she met on her Journey (including the three children who would one day take over the role of protecting the worlds), and then there were those she met in dreams and the other city of perpetual night...]
There are too many for me to even count.
voice;
[She can't imagine missing that many, she only has... Roxas, Axel, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Chip, D- okay maybe she had a lot to miss too. But still.
She remembers when someone else asked this question a little while ago, and she'd tried to answer then, but she really hadn't known what to say. Maybe Aqua would have better advice than she did.]
What... what do you do, when you miss them a lot?
voice;
[She sounds almost wistful, listless as she admits it... but it's something that's been weighing on her for quite some time. Yes, even before meeting Philemon.]
I'm afraid the answer's different for everyone, Xion. Though, it doesn't hurt to talk about the ones you miss and share those memories you have with them.
[Because really, that's all she has of them, now. ...Also yes, that was an invitation to come over.]
...Would you like me to come over for a little while?
[Because someone sounds lonely.]
voice;
Well, she wouldn't be making this message.
Visiting sounds nice though. Visiting means not being by herself in a tiny bare room, having someone else to talk to and maybe even distracting herself a little. But mostly feeling less alone.]
S-sure. Or I can come to your room.
[Either or. She scrubs at her eyes with the palm of her hand.]
voice;
She paused for a brief moment, simply listening at the silence. It made sense that she wouldn't like to be alone, because that's part of being a Keyblade wielder: they were always weaker when isolated, even though so many would never truly understand the burden they carry in trying to protect the worlds they love.]
Alright. I'll be right there.
[Aqua doesn't say much else over the network, but she knocks on the door two minutes later.]
voice; -> action;
[And in those two minutes, Xion will be rubbing at her eyes and trying to hide any evidence of... emotional "outbursts". Maybe in time she'd be a bit more open with her feelings but for now... Aqua is still a stranger in some respects, despite Xion knowing of and looking for her back home.
When Xion answers the door, only the slightest redness around her eyes hints at anything.]
Hey.
action;
She smiles faintly, letting the kindness shine through. Xion needed it.] Hey.
[She looked a little tired (and maybe still has a few bits of frost in her hair), but she holds out something. ...wait is that a scooped version of sea salt ice cream.]
I thought you could use one of these.
action;
How did you...
[They'd talked before sure but she hadn't mentioned liking sea-salt, so far as she can remember...]
action;
A little bird told me.
[A white lie, really-- it had been one of the children who had told her about the wonders of sea-salt and asked her to try it once in a dream.]
The rest...came down to a few too many royalberry licks and magic.
[She makes a silly face at that one. Oh, she'd forgotten she'd get brain freeze if she ate it too fast.]
action;
As much as she'd love to start licking even now, they're still standing in her doorway]
Um...
[She steps back]
You can come in, if you want to.
[There's... not much though... maybe they'd be better off in the living room area...]
action;
It's a small joke; meaning either someone once told me, or it's a lucky guess.
[We do not mention the nickname Hades gave her before she kicked his sorry toga-wearing butt back into the Underworld, okay.]
...Wouldn't we be better off in the living room area?
[No she doesn't have a mind link, she just knows that her apartment is small, too.]
action;
[See now that made sense. ... now she has to wonder though... did that mean somebody told her? But she was in the Realm of Darkness... unless it was that other place she'd mentioned?
Well, she could ask about it in a bit. Instead she nods, a little sheepishly.]
Y-yeah. Probably.
[And with that she'll let the door to her room close behind her as she heads over. It wasn't too far, at least. Disney Castle was bigger.]
action;
video
[The 'three' is said rather painfully.]
All of them would be pretty shocked by this place, I think.
voice
I guess this place must be pretty different from home, huh?
[Or at least what his friends are used to]
no subject
[Which he does. Today it's a startling bright blue again, with only a few distant white wisps of clouds.
And he's been here long enough to be smart enough to not look at the sun.]They'd probably get sunburns as bad as I did. Heheh.
no subject
[She's been to a lot of worlds but all of them... they all had the same sort of skies, that she could see. She never really thought they could look different.]
[voice]
I do.
[A short pause.]
... That's why I need to go back.
[video]
[voice]
Sometimes your family are your friends, huh...
[General "you". For her it was more the other way, though. Her friends were her family.]
Voice
Voice
[Xion pauses, a little unsure. She's not... really that good with talking with people doesn't know well.]
They... must mean a lot to you.

[Seeing as they could go right back to the moment that they left... She'd be lying if she didn't admit to worrying about Roxas and Axel too though, even though she knew the same applied to her...]
no subject
[Unfortunately, Nano doesn't know that part yet. She thinks the Professor is all alone with no one to care for her.]
no subject
She'll probably be fun until you get back, right? Since... time stops while we're here.
[At least, if what they've heard is to be believed. Xion's optimistic on the whole but still worries sometimes...]
no subject
voice;
Y-yeah.
[ His voice is shaky, and he's very much unhappy with himself for letting that much show.
He isn't saying any more, though. Memories... ]
voice;
Me too.
[She isn't sure if they'll reply but... well, it felt okay to admit she felt the same. It's sort of a not-quite apology]
voice;
Although that reminds him... of something else he was wondering.
His mind wanders and needs vindication before he throws the thought out and wallows in self-disgust for even considering bringing him to this place of... daemons. ]
... I sort of wonder how well he'd react to being here.
Is that silly?
[ His voice is honest inquiry, even with the small self-unsure undertone: he's never... really been someplace like this, before. He sort of wants to know how his energetic friend would react to it. Sort of wishing he was here - because he's finding he prefers this place to home, in spite of the daemons and chaos.
Given, he doesn't even know if his friend's still alive, but... ]
voice;
I don't... think so. I think it's normal to wonder about things [Goodness knows she has a lot over the years. Axel had always encouraged her and Roxas to think for themselves and ask questions and learn. Maybe it's not quite the same but...
She shakes her head, though he can't see it]
Especially if our friends are involved, when we miss them.
voice;
[ He at least sounds appreciative - his thoughts are vindicated, and they're going farther, now. There's an unspoken "thank you" in his tone, as well.
He's quiet, for a moment. He wants to explain why he felt the need to ask, but... ]
I'm sorry, if that was a weird question. I'm not used to this kind of... want.
[ That's half of the truth - he's not used to it because he blocked all those feelings out in the years following his departure from Frak's team. He's had them before, but he'll never understand what to do with them beyond berate himself over them.
Bonus points in that Ferrus is basically more of an asset rather then a person, to his team. Remind you of anyone, Xion? ]
[Voice]
Except G0-T0, I guess. I'm honestly not sure why I let him come along in the first place.
[Voice]
I think I know what you mean.
[Still...]
Who's G0-T0?
[Voice]
no subject
[Thinking about this seems to have significantly dropped her mood.]
I don't know what I'm going to do without them.
no subject
[It's... kind of why she made this post. Sort of.]
voice, (derp)
Even if it's just one of them, I want to see them again.
voice
Maybe there are a lot of things here that aren't back home, but... those aren't the ones that matter though, are they?
[Having a bed, or a job, or temporarily not to worry about Xehanort is nice of course, but... Riku, for his part, would take Sora and Kairi's company over that any day.
He probably doesn't have to mention that though, does he?]
voice
Yeah. That's probably why having them doesn't...
[She trails off, remembering this isn't the Riku she knows.
He can probably guess what she means though: having all these things here doesn't feel like it really makes up for what's missing.]
voice
It doesn't seem to mean as much, right?
[He might not be the Riku she knows and she may not be the Xion that he doesn't remember, but... he, like her, has people he misses dearly. People that he kind of wishes were here.]
[Audio]
[Not true, he misses one person but he is a pretty sweet liar.]
You don't have to miss them either, you know. They're probably just as happy without you for a while as you should be without them.
[Even though Butterfly had said something about leaving and returning to the point where they came from so... they wouldn't really be missed at all, would they? Getting in a passive aggressive cheap shot at a stranger was too good to pass up, though.]
[Audio]
[Well... that's a very cold silence while she wrestles her feelings under control again. There's enough disturbing implications in the idea of her friends not caring if she was gone that she tries not to think about it too much - she'll just get more upset.
But she did hear the same things he did when she arrived herself, so...]
They're my friends, of course I'll miss them. Besides, I thought we go back to right when we left anyway.
[So it's not like they'd even notice she was gone because... she sort of isn't. She hopes.]
[Audio]
[No he didn't.]
Fretting over it wont help anyone.
Sorry if I offended you, miss.
[locked text]
[locked text]
Yeah [pause] they probably wouldn't. It's hard not to wish they were here though.
[There's one thing he said that's confusing her though]
Second chances for what?
[locked text]
It is.
Second chances for anything you didn't have a chance to do back home. Different things for different people. You might get a chance to see someone you thought you'd never see again, or you might get a chance to try something you didn't have time to, though I suppose it's a first chance in that case.
