[Duo's visible in the garage he works at, looking a bit frayed at the edges. It's dark and he's talking quietly. There is the sound of something scratching on metal in the background, but it's not immediately clear what's causing it.]

Okay, I was basically ignoring all that talk over the last few days about the world ending or whatever it was, but I'm starting to think they might have been on to something. The army of freaking giant scorpions clawing at the doors kind of gives their theory some credit.

Anyways, we're holed up in here, but the door handle keeps jiggling and I'm going to have nightmares for weeks about scorpions that can open doors. So if anyone could send help and get us out of here that would be a very good thing.

Bring a flame thrower.

While the older two shake their heads, the youngest produces a pistol from his jacket. "I'm armed. I just couldn't get out the front door without immediately being mobbed. I think for now we should just get to the Capricorn apartments. They're close, and probably safe."

After a moment he added "I'm Duo, by the way, thanks for helping."

The techpriest nods. The pistol looks strange to him, but it's probably a common make around these parts - perhaps an older sort of automatic? He'll check it out later.

"No problem. I'm Ferrus." He nods, lightly, before sliding the gun in his left hand into its holster. His right hand continues holding his gun at the ready position, in case of emergency mobbing. "... You're sure you can get back with one pistol?" He sounds doubtful. Even he needs two, and there's two civvies who don't seem to have any weapons on them in the least...

"If we get mobbed, your guns probably aren't going to be enough anyways. Speed is getting us through this one."

He set off down the street at a trot.

"True enough," He offers, lamely.

Even if that wasn't wholly true.

His bolter had exploding rounds, after all.

But hey whatever, man. He'd tag along if only to be sure they stayed safe.
